I am concerned about the list of inactive ingredients listed on the bottle which I don't see listed in the drug store brand I usually buy. The inactive ingredients listed are: Benzoyl alcohol, butylparaben, d & c red 28, edible black ink, F d & c blue#1 and red #40, gelatin, lactose, magnesium stearate, methylparaben, polysorbate 80, propylparaben, and sodium laurel sulfate. ## Hello, Kathy! What are the side effects when taken Doxy- Cycl Hycl 100mg with Diphenhydramine hydrochloride 50mg? One is for my acne and one is an allergy medication ## There are no interactions listed between the two medications. I have had 2 anaphylactic shock episodes due to ER visits with Benadryl in my IV. Allergist tested...allergic to Benadryl. I am on MANY meds and many have hydrochloride in them and some have diphenhydramine in them. If I am allergic to benadryl, would it be to the Diphenydramine, or the hydrochloride side? Thank you! ## It would be the Diphenhydramine that you have to stay away from. The Hydrochloride just designates the chemical salt that a medication was derived from, so you will actually see that listed on many different medications. Apparently it is manufactured by Himprit Pharma Chem, out of india. I also came across a 10mg Simvastatin, red oblong/oval pill with S4 on one side and blank on the other. Ref: Discuss/light-blue-oblong-pill-263-half-circle-and-line-183407.htm I don't know what would happen if you take 3, but personally I wouldn't advise taking anything more than what the directions state on the box; unless given the O-K through your doctor. If the recommended dose doesn't suffice, it may just be a good idea to look into other forms of antihistamines or sleep aids, depending on what you're using it for...
