I am concerned about the list of inactive ingredients listed on the bottle which I don't see listed in the drug store brand I usually buy. The inactive ingredients listed are: Benzoyl alcohol, butylparaben, d & c red 28, edible black ink, F d & c blue#1 and red #40, gelatin, lactose, magnesium stearate, methylparaben, polysorbate 80, propylparaben, and sodium laurel sulfate. ## Hello, Kathy! How are you? I understand your concern. However, there is a regularly updated list of acceptable inactive ingredients that the FDA classifies as being safe to use in medications, which ones a manufacturer decides to use is entirely up to them, but they cannot use anything that isn't on that list. I have had 2 anaphylactic shock episodes due to ER visits with Benadryl in my IV. Allergist tested...allergic to Benadryl. I am on MANY meds and many have hydrochloride in them and some have diphenhydramine in them. If I am allergic to benadryl, would it be to the Diphenydramine, or the hydrochloride side? Thank you! ## It would be the Diphenhydramine that you have to stay away from. The Hydrochloride just designates the chemical salt that a medication was derived from, so you will actually see that listed on many different medications. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Thanks for your comments. I appreciate it!

I've came across a blueish Oblong pill with imprint only on one side S4. Can someone please tell me what it could be? ## Hi Robert, Based on your description the closest match I'm finding is a 25mg Diphenhydramine hydrochloride tablet, that is a pink oblong/oval pill with S4 on one side and blank on the other. Apparently it is manufactured by Himprit Pharma Chem, out of india. I also came across a 10mg Simvastatin, red oblong/oval pill with S4 on one side and blank on the other. This one happens to be manufactured by Accord Healthcare. I realize that the color is off on the two pills I just mentioned, but still wanted to post their details in case you or any other readers desired to contact either of these manufacturers, in order to determine whether or not they make a blue vers...

How many two take at a time for adult an swhT happen if you take 3 ## Hi Kelia, From what I could gather, this light blue oblong pill is an OTC antihistamine / sleep aid containing 25mgs of Diphenhydramine hydrochloride. Ref: Discuss/light-blue-oblong-pill-263-half-circle-and-line-183407.htm I don't know what would happen if you take 3, but personally I wouldn't advise taking anything more than what the directions state on the box; unless given the O-K through your doctor. If the recommended dose doesn't suffice, it may just be a good idea to look into other forms of antihistamines or sleep aids, depending on what you're using it for...

This pill was in my bottle of metformin from the pharmacists.i only noticed because it was just a bit smaller than the metformin. What is it? ## I actually came across a half white and half pink oblong shaped pill imprinted "E648" that is identified as Diphenhydramine hydrochloride 25 mg. You didn't mention pink being part of the color, but it's the only match that comes up under that description. Manufacturer: Sandoz Pharmaceuticals Inc. National Drug Code (NDC): 00185-0648 I'd probably suggest taking it over to your local pharmacy to have them check it out if this doesn't sound like it fits the bill. Does anyone else recognize this tablet without the pink color?
