My wife has been taking Imodium (6) but has exhausted her supply. Is it safe for her to continue her attempt to stop the direah with the Diphen Atrop 2.5mg? ## Has she consulted a doctor? Anytime that diarrhea is continuous like this, someone should seek medical attention, because it could be the sign of serious health problems. It also creates the very serious risk of dehydration. The problem with this medication is that its only meant to treat acute diarrhea, which would be that of a limited duration. If it's chronic, which means ongoing, then she needs to see a doctor for assistance and a proper diagnosis as to what's causing it.
