Are 2 mg of diaudid marked m 2 stronger than pink pill marked k 56 known as oxycodone? ## Hello, Dreamy! How are you? No, for each 2mgs of Dilaudid, you'd only need to take 5.33mgs of Oxycodone, so the 10mg Oxycodone tablet is stronger. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

Are my dilaudid pills instant release ## Hello, Maxwell! How are you? No, there are no instant release Dilaudid tablets. These are 2mg regular release tablets, so they start working about 15 to 20 minutes after you take them. This medication is a narcotic analgesic, so it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## There are Dilaudid extended release out there they come in 20 mg and they work very well for pain. ## Sooo yes actually they ARE considered "instant" release. You stated they are not IR, but they start working around 20 minutes after you take them? ? Just like an aspirin, percoset, ect,ect,ect.....

Hi. I was cleaning my 16 year-old son's room and found a bottle of little, round yellow pills. About 30 of them. My heart sank. I think they are dilaudid or hydromorphone, at least what I've been able to glean from the research I've done. But I am not sure; I cannot find any reference to the inscripted P on one side (4 is on the other) vs. the K or M commonly found with dilaudid. Can anyone help me identify it? ## I am sorry to hear about your findings ... and sadly, yes, the pills which you have described are Dilaudid 4 mg. The manufacturer's product sheet states "DILAUDID 4 mg TABLETS are yellow, debossed with a P on one side and the number 4 on the opposite side." (PDF format, page 18). I wish you and your son the best with this. Do you have any other question...

Are they ok to take? ## Hi, Wendy! It can be normal for this to happen if your pharmacy ran out of their supply of one and had to add some from a different manufacturer. However, I can't confirm this for you, without knowing the markings that are on the tablets. Learn more Dilaudid details here. Can you post back with this information? If so, I'll gladly check for you. Thanks! ## I have a pill that was supposed to be dilaudid, but it looks like it got wet or something. Is this pill the smallest dosage usually prescribed? ## No, this is not a time released tablet, so it could be cut, if you wish, unless your doctor or pharmacist has specifically told you not to do so. And yes, this is the lowest dosage available in the tablets, it contains 2mgs of the Hydromorphone, which is the active ingredient in Dilaudid, this is actually a generic medication. It is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. R they yellow with a line on one side and nothing on the other side ## Hi, Matt! How are you? No, all Dilaudid tablets available on the U.S. market would have an imprint on them, this is required by law to enable their identification in case of emergency. If you have a tablet with no imprint on it, then it is most likely something that's available over the counter. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I got them throw the mail is it possible if they came from another County

It contains 8mgs of Ondansetron, an SSRI commonly used for it's ability to prevent nausea. ## It never ceases to amaze me that some people have no clue as what medication that they are taking!! small round white pill, m on one side, 4 on the other side ## That would be Hydromorphone 5mgs. Hydromorphone ## Incidentially, regarding my recent inquiry about amount of dilaudid I am using, I have been on ppiates for over 20 years, stemming from a horrific auto accident in 1985; Talwin, ocycontin 80mg; Fentaynal; and Kadian; now dilaudid.
