All heavy doses so I believe I am very well tolerant to opiates ( basically an addict, I'm sorry to say!) ## I am a normal teenage mother and recently have been suspicious of my daughter using drugs. Hi, Ive been taking this medication called Hydrocodone for about 3 years. For those 3 years, its been working very well but lately, it's not as good. Im not sure whether it's because Ive become prone to the medicine or because my pain has gotten worse, but either way, my doctor has now given me a prescription for new medication and this one is called Dilaudid 4 mg. What Id like to know is, what medicine is stronger or better? I have not taken Dilaudid yet so I'd like to know beforehand, thank you ## Hello, Hassan! How are you? My dr switched my oxycodone 30mg to dilaudid 8 mg.I am wondering how they compare to one another ## Based on my research, Dilaudid is much stronger then Oxycodone, but it doesn't last very long in it's immediate release formula. Oxycodone has an extended release formula (Oxycontin); which may be better suited for some people when used chronically for long term pain relief. 8mg of Dilaudid is "roughly equivalent" to 20mg of Oxycodone. This information is based on my own findings and is not relative to each individual's body chemistry or cross tolerance, as every drug can effect each person differently. Interactions between Dilaudid, Klonopin, and Methamphetamine

What are the risk factors associated with the drug combination of 4mg Dilaudid and 0.5mg Klonopin? ## Hi Nikki, According to umm.edu, there are drug interactions between Dilaudid (hydromorphone) and Klonopin (clonazepam). These precautions state that taking the two together may cause side effects such as breathing problems (i.e. feeling short of breath) as well as pale blue nails/skin that may require immediate medical attention. They go on to note that if you are planning on taking both medications at once, your doctor may alter the dosage and/or frequency of use in order to lessen your risk for such side effects. However it's also important tell your doctor about any other drugs you are taking (such as methamphetamine) in order to rule out any other possible risk factors *god forb... ...

I HAVE got to quit these diladids! ## Hydromorphone is nasty stuff. These are questions you want to ask the Doctor! ## Some doctors that tread with Suboxone won't let you continue Xanax, while under treatment, since it can also be addictive. They will usually make you switch to one of the antidepressants that can treat panic and anxiety attacks. But how much Dilaudid have you been taking? Suboxone is only appropriate for heavy addiction. I am wondering if diloded is stronger than oxycontin? morphine? norco? norco 10/325? liquid 40ml norco 2.5mg/5ml? ## Dilaudid contains the active ingredient Hydromorphone. That said, it is a potent narcotic, and what it is stronger than depends on the dosage of each. It is not stronger than most dosages of Oxycodone, but is stronger than some. Oxycodone is the strongest product on the market approved to treat pain. Whether it is stronger than the others also depends on what dose of the Dilaudid you're asking about. Was this prescribed for you? You can read more about it here: ## Actually, Opana (oxymorphone) is about 2 to 3 times stronger than oxycodone, or contin.
