Has anyone else taken MSIR for multilevel degenerative back disease? ## I was recently diagnosed with multilevel digenerative back disease. I was given msir for break thru pain and tolerated it very well. Then the Dr. changed it to avinza 30mg. I have stopped taking this because of the way it makes me fell. What is the difference between the two and why would one be tollerable and the other not? Aren't both morphine? ## I was put on msir 10mg. These are wonderful..my new doctor switched me to hydromorphone, but I hate them because of the way they make me feel. I have degenerative spine disease as well. I suffer from severe pain. I am 30 years old and I have been treated for pain and anxiety for the last 7 years. My treatment however has consisted of just vicodin or Percocet. I have scoliosis, spine is s shape, digenertive disc disease with narrowing, arthritis is my lower back and knees. Most of my pain is in my lower back but I also have undefined pain, like if I sit or stand for extended periods of time in the space between my shoulder blades and spine towards the top of my back. Recently my aunt has been giving me oxy 30mg. They completely take all my pain away quick and 2 a day lasts through the day and night. I have spinal digeneration and a 3 level fusion in my neck. On Wednesday, Dec 8th I refilled my rx of roxicodone 15mgs x 4 per day. On the 17th, they were stolen along with my credit card at McDonalds. I filed a police report & left a message to my pain management doctor asking them how to handle my pain until my next refill. No call back. Finally, after back and forth with several staff members, I'm told I will not be helped because they have refilled early for me in the past. I told them I never asked for an early refill, I asked how to handle my pain. I asked for withdraw medicine and a steroid pack before Christmas. They said my doc was out of town, had to text him, and they would fax over any RX he approves. My doc prescribed me a steroid pack but not withdrawal meds. My do...
