generic diflucan is it farcun, because all i can find is farcan. ## Hello, Tersa! How are you? Yes, they both contain the active ingredient Fluconazole, so they are the same. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I received Farcun 200, its a white pill and says it was manufactured by Combitic Global. Searching their website I don't see Farcun listed as a product. I was diagnosed with BV and a yeast infection over a week ago. I was prescribed the two meds above. I took diflucan immediately, and the metronidazole for five days before the side effects took over my body (mouth sores, stomach pains and cramps, nausea). After day five, I couldn't take it anymore and took the second diflucan because along with the side effects, I just experienced a frequency in urination, burning and itching, but not in the way of a typical UTI. I went back to urgent care and the doc said it didn't look like BV, but yeast, and prescribed topicals that aren't making the itching or pain any better. I am in so much pain and don't know what to do. ## Yeast infections are not usually painful. They are caused by a fungus and while they may cause itching, and ...

Is diflucan effective a year after its expiration date? It expired in November 2015. It is December 2016 now. Thanks! ## Since it is over a year expired, it has most likely lost some efficacy, according to the NIH, so it would be best to dispose of it and obtain a new supply, if you need to use it. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach pain, and diarrhea. Is there anything else I can help with?

I didn't find any interactions or problems listed between these two medications, but it's always best to double check such information to be sure. Does anyone know what the pink pill is that is for yeast infection and you only have to take one.......I don't know anything more today. ## Diflucan - your doctor will know what it is and you can only get it with a prescription. Here is a web site - www.yeast-infection-remedies.com/candida-diflucan.html ## Though it can't be definitively said without knowing the markings, Diflucan would also have been my best guess, since it is available in a single dose, pink tablet for treating yeast infections. It contained the active ingredient Fluconazole, and is now also available as a generic under this name and some pharmacies even include it on their $4 discounted medications formulary. Are there any questions or comments? There are more Diflucan details available here.

I am 5 days late on period. Took a pregnancy test yesterday came up negative. I was on metro pill 500mg twice day for a week. Was suppose to get my period about 4/5 aftwr taking last of medicine. I had to take a diflucan too cause the meds give me a yeast infection. Could the metro pills possibly be making me late? Did i take a preg test too early? It was an EPT test. Please help!!!! ## Yes, the FDA does warn that most antibiotics, of any type, can cause you to experience a longer cycle, so you might not experience your period, at your usual time. They can also, sometimes, interfere with oral contraceptives, and reduce their efficacy, so there might be a risk of pregnancy, if you've been engaging in intercourse. Has there been any change? Did you experience a period, yet? Are you on...

Was diagnosed with a yeast infection last week. I took a 150mg dose of Diflucan on Thurs. night. It’s been 4 days and the symptoms have improved a little but I still have slight itching and tenderness. Is that a good sign? From what I hear and read, symptoms (itching) are suppose to clear up in 3 days. I also have discharge today. Can it take a week to fully clear on one pill? Should I wait it out another day or two or should I take another dose of Diflucan or the terconazole cream I was prescribed? ## How are you doing, now? Has there been any change? While you should normally see some improvement after 3 to 4 days, it can take 7 to 10 days for a dosage to fully clear up a yeast infection. The FDA warns that it may cause spotting, discharge, nausea, dizziness, and headache. Has y...

My doctor put me on Diflucan for a toe nail fungus.Has anyone ever heard of this before? I've already had all ten toe nails cut out three times and I can't face that again or having the nails removed. My nails are hard and curl into my toes. ## Hi Missy, Based on my research, Diflucan (Fluconazole) is primarily used to treat Vaginal yeast infections and has been approved by the FDA for that purpose. However, it is sometime prescribed as a toe nail fungus medicine when the toe nail fungus is a mild case, or if the toe nail fungus infection looks to be yeast generated. I have heard of people getting relief from toe nail fungus while using Diflucan, so I hope it works well for you too. Needing the drug classification of Lotrizone cream and Nystatan Powder ## Lotrisone is a cream or lotion consisting of a combination of the drugs clotrimazole and betamethasone. Clotrimazole is an "anti-fungal" drug related to fluconazole (Diflucan), ketoconazole (Nizoral), itraconazole (Sporanox), and miconazole (Micatin, Monistat). It prevents growth of several types of fungi by preventing production of the membranes that surround fungal cells. Betamethasone is a synthetic "corticosteroid" that is used topically on the skin. Corticosteroids suppress inflammation as well as the body's immune response. Nystatin powder is an "antibiotic" which is both fungistatic and fungicidal in vitro against a wide variety of yeasts and yeast-like fungi. I put quotations ar...
