I have two pills with the same P 039 imprints. They identify as purepac 2mg. Alprozam. What I can't figure out is why they don't look the same. The color is slightly different, but it is very noticeable when compared side by side. One is a brighter yellow and the other looks more orange. The brighter yellow pill is very similar in length, but it appears to be almost twice as tall next to the yellow/orange pill. ## Did you mean the bar with the R 039 imprint? If so, it seems those are just due to some differences in the manufacturing process, depending on which plant has manufactured that particular pill. The databases even have pictures of both to make sure people are aware that they have the same marking, contain the same thing, but do have some differences. Learn more Alprazol...

I got a script for percocet IP 204s but they don't look like the ones I've taken before. They say IP 204 on them and they look like they're thicker / fatter. Are these just as effective as the other ones? Do they have different molds for them? ## Are there different sizes of percocet IP 204s? Are some thicker and then some skinnier? ## If you got your prescription filled at a licensed pharmacy then I can't help but think that it's a legitimate discrepancy among different batches. However, it probably doesn't hurt to contact the manufacturer (Amneal Pharma) just to be certain... Amneal's customer service department for reporting product quality complaints can be reached at 1-877-835-5472 or via email at [email protected]. For verification, the IP 204 pill ...

Is Metoprolol Tartrate 25 mg tab drug ID white round with M 18 the same as Metroprolol tartrate 25 mg white round tab /1 the same medicine? One pill is twice as big as the other and I don't understand how they could be the same? ## Yes, it is also 25mgs of Metoprolol, a generic for Lopressor. The reason it is larger is more than likely just due to the types of fillers that manufacturer uses, they do have a wide variety they can pick from and they will affect the size of the tablets. Some of the most common side effects of this medication include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and diarrhea. You can read more about the medication here: Is there anything else I can help you with? ## where can I buy this?

I just had to switch generic brands for my citalopram. I take 10mg; but this pill looks bigger than my old pill. Whereas the old one said .5 (or something to that effect), this one only has a "c" on one side. Is this really only 10mg? ## Based on my research, the pill you are describing is in fact Citalopram hydrobromide 10 mg. For verification, the size is: 6.00 mm Manufacturer: Caraco Pharmaceutical Laboratories National Drug Code (NDC): 57664-0507 From what I understand, it's not just the Citalopram taking up "real estate" in your pill. It's also filled with inactive ingredients (binders and fillers), "such as": corn starch, microcrystalline cellulose, polyethylene glycol, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, and other things of that nature. Having...

Is there a reason for medications having different shapes, sizes and colors? If so when was the system first developed? ## Hello, Rclancy! How are you? It isn't the shapes, sizes or colors that matter, that is entirely up to the whit and whim of the manufacturer. Some of them will use different colors or shapes to make it easier to distinguish one dose from another, but they do not have to do so. The mandate under law by the FDA, is that all manufactured prescription medications must have unique markings on them to enable their identification, in case of emergency. For all the government cares, they could all be white, round tablets, as long as the markings on them are different, so they can be traced back to the original manufacturer, as well as allowing you to discover what the pi...

I have taken hydrocodone 10 mg for several years, and sometimes get jittery..sort of like speedy..and uncomfortable. I noticed the other day that I have two different sizes of pills (from a different pharmacy last month). Is it possible that one manufacturer has an ingredient different from another? My doctor and I have been trying to identify why I get jittery for over a year..and I think it has to do with manufacturers. ## There can be differences between generic medications, since under the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984 they are allowed to differ from the name brand by as much as plus or minus 20% in the amount of the active ingredients. They also don't have to measure against each other, thus it is possible that one of them is higher or lower in the amount of Hydrocodone, which could...

Why are different sizes of pill ms contyn , same milligrams ## Hello, Walt! How are you? Without knowing the imprint on them, I can't tell you any specifics about them. However, if they are valid prescriptions from your pharmacy, so you know that no mistake has occurred, then it is likely just due to different manufacturers using different fillers, which can change the size of the pills. There is a list of FDA approved inactive ingredients that they can choose from, they aren't required to use the same as any other manufacturer, as long as their pills are proven to work, such as being time released like they are supposed to be. This medication is listed as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizzines...

I am on pink k 56 oxycodone but are there two kinds of pink k56 oxycodone 10 milligram? They are both pink and both say k 56, but they are different sizes and one appears harder than the other. ## There are two different ones shown in the NIH database, they vary depending on which manufacturing facility for KVK Tech made them. Thus, if you received them from an actual licensed pharmacy, then there is likely nothing to worry about. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

My friend and I are developing a device for a company. The device we’re trying to re-create is basically a newly designed prescription pill bottle/device. In order to develop this device, we need to know the exact size, diameter and dimensions of most prescription pills(mostly narcotics and controlled substance drugs)…..for example: the exact size of Xanax 1mg is: 6 X 3(mm) and Hydrocodone 500mg is: 15 X 7 X 7(mm). There are many different manufacturers of Xanax, Hydrocodone, etc, especially in the generic market, and the exact pill size varies considerably depending on the dosage and manufacturer. We haven’t been able to find a website, or any source, that supplies all the information we need for the exact dimensions of prescription pills. We’ve spent hours look...

Why do I get different sizes of the oxycodone 30 mg? Sometimes it is a small one and sometimes it's bigger, as in the roundness is bigger. ## It depends on the inactive ingredients that each manufacturer has chosen to use in their tablets, some make the pills more bulky than others. The FDA warns that this mediation carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. The tablet you asked about is a regular release formulation. Is there anything else I can help with?

What is the different shapes and sizes and colors of ms contin 100mg ## Hello, Kp! How are you? I'm sorry, but since this medication is available as both a name brand and a generic, there are far too many tablets available for me to be able to list the detailed information about all of them. The only thing we can say for certain is that they are not legal U.S. prescription medications, as they are all required to have imprints to enable their identification. But, otherwise, they could be any one of a large number of over the counter items or foreign medications. Did you...

what does a morphine 30 mg look like? ## Morphine 30mg tablets and capsules come in many different colors, shapes, and sizes. Is it normal for the size and shape of a generic drug to vary from store to store? ## These types of pills can be different shapes, colors, and sizes. Even though they are the same mg...for example...a 30mg amphetamine salt combo can come in pink or orange...both act the same and have the same ingredients...even though they look nothing alike. The reason being that they are made from 2 different manufacturers. ## Is D-Amphetamine another name for Adderall? Or is it another version [generic?] of it? I mean what's the difference? I was trying to find out the size of the G74 opana. Someone told me they can get the 6mm and 8mm G74 opana but I didn't think they would come in different sizes. Can anyone tell me the correct size? Thanks ## Hello, Kmtjet! How are you? I don't have the size specifications on them, but I can tell you that they are all the same size. There aren't two different sizes of Oxymorphone with that marking. It should be a round, orange tablet. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
