Difference Between Morphine And Percocet

I've been taking percocet 7.5/350 mg. for 3 yrs. I was recently prescribed morphine 15mg-cr and I am not getting much pain relief from the morphine. I thought and was told morphine is stronger than percocet but I got more relief from the percocet than I do from the morphine. I of course plan on telling my dr. asap but was just woundering in the meantime. ## Actually, Oxycodone is one and half times stronger than Morphine, plus the Percocet also contained Acetaminophen, which helps the Oxycodone to work better. And not every medication works for everyone that tries it, so it could just be that the Morphine isn't effective for you and you may need to switch back to Oxycodone, or Percocet. I need to know what the difference is between percocet and oxycottin? ## percocate is cut with asprin. oxycottin is not cut with anything. ## I am on Percocet and Oxycontin.. The difference is, Percocet is short acting drug with tylenol, Oxycontin is much stronger and is a time releasing drug with semi-synthetic opiate derived from an element of morphine. ## Percocet is not cut with aspirin...it is cut with tylenol ## Oxicottin is an opiate oxicodonen and hydrocodon are synthetic base with either a spring or Tylenol like. 5/325 5 grams of the narcotic / 325 of the asprin. I have been on kadian for 2 yrs now. 150mg twice a day, plus percocet10/325 for breakthrough. works pretty well. Now I have to switch to morphine sulfate er TABLETS. I will be taking 160 mgs twice per day. Have not taken yet so I don't know if they will work as good as the kadian. What I was also wondering if the morphine sulfate er CAPSULES work better than the morphine sulfate er TABLETS. anyone try both to see if there was any difference thank you ## What you're switching to is just a generic for Kadian, it still contains a time released formulation of Morphine.
