My son aged 19 years was diagnosed with mild epilepsy because he got occasional fits. He first had it 2 years back, and has, in 2 years got fits about 8-10 times, of short duration around 3-5 minute or so. He studies engg. in first year. The neuro we first met, advised Livera twice daily but we were worried about the side effects and never started this medication. Our family doc advised anti depressant to improve his mood and positivity, but the fits are coming, though occassionally, every 2 months or so. I have stopped taking dicorate cr 1g last February due to excessive hair fall and fluvoxin cr 100 last September and my hairfall stopped last June . Again my hairfall started from December I don't take any medicine now . Do this hairfall due to dicorate but I don't take dicorate from last February.

Dicorate Er 500-one tablet was given by the Neuurologist to my son aged 12 years, after dinner. He has been very agressive and his EEG report says that "Interictal State of seizure disorder". MRI brain report is "The non-contrast MRI findings of brain are within normal limits". By taking one tablet he has been feeling sleepy, but the neurologist has now suggested to take two tablets in a day to get good result. Is it wise to give two tablets in a day to my son. I was without consultation forced to join Cadabam Mental Health in January 2016 by my family. I was forcefully administered tablets there & made to stay for 9 months. I had been given Dicorate Er 250 mg which I am continuosly taking but now I want to stop as it is giving me heart & chest aches, I feel inactive, etc. I have not consulted any Psychotherapist regarding it. My EEG was not taken for epilepsy but I was simply categorized as borderline schezinophernia. So can I stop taking it abruptly or is there a lower mg I can taper off of? Foreign countries have banned its usage above 60mg in a day & that too in very bad cases, otherwise only 10mg per day.

My doctor named my headache as migraine and it is exactly like that. She asked me to take dicorate er 500 per day for one month. Our known 15years child taken Dicorate er 500 more than 2 years. And then last week admit because of Low plate cells in blood and causing Dengu fever. After a day doctors informed his Liver completely damaged. and then Kidny also become failure so no more else. 4days before we buried him to move to god.
