I have inflammation in my back and was taking a pill called Cataflam 50mg but it does not work and still hurts. Can I take a cti 103 (Diclofenac Sodium 75mg) pill instead? Is Cataflam 50mg weaker than Diclofenac Sodium 75mg? ## Hi Evenlyn, Sorry to hear about your back condition. I hope you feel better soon! To answer your question, in short, yes, 50mg is weaker than 75mg. Cataflam is simply another brand name of Diclofenac; so it's pretty much the exact same thing at a different dosage, albeit the suffix is potassium with Cataflam instead of sodium as with the common/standard Diclofenac (& I'm not certain as to whether either mineral makes any notable difference in bioavailability/potency). As to whether or not you can take 75mg instead of 50mg, that's entirely up to yo...

I purchased diclofenac sodium & codeine phosphate tablets 50mg, but I cant find any images to identify it as such. It came in a foiled back pop out sleeve of 10. It's a light peach or pink color with a score on one side and nothing on the other. It also says Duranzo on it. My vision is not so good so i cant make out the pharmaceutical co. Can you help me please? ## Hello, Mini! How are you? This combination isn't available in the U.S., it is a foreign medication from India. Duranzo is listed as containing Diclofenac and Codeine, but since foreign medications aren't regulated like U.S. prescription drugs, there's no way to confirm that's what you've received. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit formin...

The emergency and my doctor prescribed me Diclofenac Sod EC 50mg after a car accident. What is this and what does the EC stand for? ## Diclofenac sodium is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory that is used to treat, or prevent pain, and swelling. The EC means that it is enteric coated, to help protect your stomach, since this class of medications can be harsh on your stomach. The FDA lists the typical Diclofenac side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and increased risk of bleeding. It is available over the counter, now, in gel form to be used topically to treat arthritis, and muscle pain. Is there anything else I can help with?

My mom is taking diclofenac sodium 50mg each night before sleep for sciatica from past 5 years. Unfortunately, we could not seek a permanent treatment or any other better medicine for this disorder. How she can withdraw from it and what are other best options to cure her disorder? ## Hello, Reet! How is your mom doing? This is not a habit forming medication, it is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, so she should be able to just stop taking it, as long as her doctor approves. I have been taking norco 10mg/325 for about 3 yrs for chronic back pain and went to laredo Mexico they prescibed me lertus 50mg and said that it is equivalent to percocet. Are they equivalent or nothing alike?? Please help!!! ## Based on my research, Lertus 50mg contains the active ingredient: Diclofenac Sodium 50 mg. Diclofenac is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used to treat mild-to-moderate pain, and helps to relieve symptoms of arthritis. In my honest opinion it's not very similar to Percocet or Norco at all in terms of potency. The only thing that makes these drugs similar is the fact they they can all be used for pain. But the difference in potency is probably night and day, depending on your tolerance levels. I personally have only taken Norco before so I can...
