Diclo Dent K

I have bitten my tongue a few months ago and my work had me travel out of the US. I have seen a dentist which prescribed me Diclo K 50 mg 3 times a day, it did reduce the swelling temporarily but the infection is still with me. I get ear aches and swelling of the gums still, where I am talking more than 300-400 mg per day just to ease the pain, nothing else seems to work I won't be able to get to see my regular dentist for another month and 1/2, I have tried all kinds of remedies and still nothing is working, any suggestions would be great as I am continuing to take this drug and increase dosage as well, and am worried about my diabetes and liver function. ## Hello, Faxi! I'm going in for a root canal in three days. It hurts bad and the only pain killer I have is a couple of diclofenac that my doc gave me for gout. Most toothaches are caused by some type of damage or decay of the tooth and if it's a deep, very painful ache, then it's most likely infected and that's going to require an antibiotic, as well as getting the problem corrected. It isn't going to clear up on its own and trying to take a medication for the pain, without seeing your dentist isn't going to help a lot, because the pain will just keep returning. I am 8.5 months pregnant and I have a tooth problem. This is an antibiotic, so it will only help if you have a dental infection and then they can be taken, if your dentist deems it appropriate. However, it will not treat whatever the underlying cause is that has caused the ache, such as a deep cary, exposed root, or etc., so you will still need dental work to correct the issue. The FDA lists the typical side effects of antibiotics as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. Is there anything else I can help with?
