should a dialysis patient get iron and and folbic ## They are sometimes given to dialysis patients, because the process can cause them to be deficient in Folic Acid and Iron, so they could end up anemic and ill, on top of the conditions they are already fighting. Has your doctor suggested you use these?

Which is stronger oxicodone 40 mg or dilaudid 4 mg my dr change me to dilaudid 4 mg which wrks better for pain. ## Hello, Cuddles! How are you? Which one works better for pain depends on you and your body, that's something that's highly individualized. However, the 40mgs of Oxycodone was stronger than the Dilaudid, you'd need 15mgs of it for each 40mgs you were taking of the Oxycodone. The FDA lists these medications as being narcotic analgesics, so they have the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. My ex-wife has kidney failure and has to start dialysis. She has been going to a methadone clinic for years now on high doses and gets benzos now from her physiatrists after the death of our son last year. My question is, what will happen when the dialysis is started with all the methadone and benzos in her system?

A 70 yr old lady lost the efficiency of both kidneys and was advised dialysis. The only renal side effect listed is possible renal calculus, which translates to kidney stones. So, you do need to be careful of that, because that could affect kidney function. If a dialysis patient is bleeding for 6 hours (after treatment) rather than 2 to 3 hours before his/her blood finally coagulates in the needle insertion sites, could 1 Hydrocodone 5 500 capsule taken before or during treatment be the cause? Ketosteril is usually given to people who are pre-dialysis, it contains Ketoanalogues and amino acids. I wouldn't suggest trying anything without your doctor's approval.

I have been on dialysis for the last 2 and a half years. Suddenly I experienced back pain and rib pain. My husband has suddenly become afraid of taking dialysis after 6 yrs of going through with it. He was recommended to see a psychiatrist who recommended Etirest 0.5 mg.. 1tablet in the morning and 1/2 at nights. And, 45 minutes before dialysis 1 tablet. I'm on Suboxone and am also a dialysis patient. I take Klonopin for the anxiety and my doctor wants to put me on Vivitrol, but will I still feel the effects of the Klonopin? ## According to the University of Maryland Medical Center (umm.edu / drug interaction tool) there are no drug interactions listed between Klonopin and Vivitrol. However if you plug Suboxone into the mix, then it comes up with interactions between Suboxone and Klonopin as well as interactions between Suboxone and Vivitrol; particularly the Buprenorphine in Suboxone.
