I have been taking Dexedrine (Dextroamphetamine Sulfate XR) for 3 years now and it has always looked the same: clear and dark brown manufactured by BARR, imprinted with the same and the numbers 956. Two months ago the medication I received was blue. I was stupid and didn't think twice about it only to be called by the pharmacy and told I had been given Adderall by mistake at the end of the month. The following month my medication was back to the usual clear and brown. This month I have been given blue pills again. They gave them to me in a bottle that says "Dextroamphetamine Sulf ER 15MG" as it should, they scratched out "BARR" and wrote "Global" on the manufacturer part. The description label on the bottle says the pills should be clear and brown and imprint...

Hi: I've been prescribed Adderall 20mg IR (generic amphetamine salts, 2x daily) and I found I was just dripping sweat in any type of heat or even at 40 deg after some exertion. My doctor switched me to dextroamphetamine (again, generic, 10 mg, 2x daily), and there is no improvement. The new drug is not as effective as the Adderall. My doctor is not that familiar with this class of drugs, but my pharmacist specialized in mental health drugs and suggested that an ER or XR version might work better. I've also read that some people do better on certain types of generics or the name brands. Has anyone found that: 1) an extended release version has physical side effects (i.e., sweating)? 2) a name brand, rather than generic, has been more effective at preventing side effects? 3) a dif...

Has anyone who takes name brand Adderall XR 30 mg - 2 x/day tried to take a drug holiday and if so, what are your side effects. I would like to try but I have a morphine pump at about 30 mg continuous release/day and think I might become comotose. I would really like to stop the adderall for a short time so it doesn't become less effective than it has already become and I have no idea what it can be relaced with. ## If you've been taking it for a long time, you may experience withdrawals, which the FDA lists as possibly including nausea, dizziness, fatigue, and irritability, since it can be habit forming. How are you doing? Why do you feel that it has become less effective? There are other stimulants available on the market, such as Dexedrine, and Focalin. Your doctor should be ...

Hey all, I take Dex IR for ADHD-C in the afternoons and it works great. I need to find an XR medication to take in the AM that works as well as my PM Dex booster. Pdoc and I have tried Adderall XR (made me fatigued, flat, and surly--I don't think my brain plays well on l-amphetamine) and Vyvanse (GI side effects and felt like a sugar pill--don't think I metabolize it correctly). I'm thinking ER Dextroamphetamine (the spansules) might be the next logical thing to try. Generics are tricky and I know there is no longer a brand name Dexedrine Spansule. So, for those on the generic dextroamphetamine spansules, what generic brand do you use/have tried, and what do you think? Thanks. ## Hello Anhedonia ADHD, It would be wreckless of me or anyone on the internet to recommend a gener...

My dad set me up with a doctor who agreed to put me on adderall. I got the bottle today and it says: Oval Blue b 972...... Genneric for adderall. Does this product work well? I have previously been taking XR of adderall and I'm hesitant to change ## This is a 10mg tablet of Mixed Amphetamine salts, so a generic for Adderall, however, the only way to see if it will work for you is by actually trying it. What works well for one person may not work well for another and vice versa. Did you discuss your concerns with the doctor? ## Unfortunately, two substitutes that were around for decades, "Dexedrine Sulfate 5mg" by Glaxo Smith Kline, and, "Dextrostat" by Richwood Pharma, later, by Shire US, have both been removed off of the USA market, during 2008 thru 2009. More unfor...
