How are you doing? I am so very sorry that you're in pain. Do you currently have a PCP that you see regularly? Have you had any recent testing that documents your condition and what's causing it?

Can anyone tell me why every pharmacy in metro Detroit is out of Norco? They don't know when they will be in? Even the pain center that prescribed it with their own pharmacy is out. ## Shortages just sometimes happen, the manufacturers may have trouble obtaining the raw ingredients, shipping problems or etc. The only thing you can really do is wait it out, or speak to your doctor about possibly prescribing an alternative medication in the meantime. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I understand that it's a pain and I'm sorry about that, but the situation should resolve itself soon. Is there anything else I can he...

Lately it seems like everywhere I go to get my norco 7.5 filled lately, I get those horrible white pills (not sure of the manufacturer). They seriously make me feel ill! I'm looking for a pharmacy around Livonia, Plymouth, Canton, Northville, etc, that still carries the peach ones with the flying "V" on the back (I believe it's Qualitest). Any help would be greatly appreciated! ## Hello Smash, Would you happen to have the imprints on either of the medications that you are describing? The flying V you are referring to is the imprint mark of the Qualitest brand but a large number of their medications comes in the peach/pink color and I wouldn't really be able to provide much useful information without knowing the imprints. Once you give me the imprints I can look up th...

If anyone has any info please share... ## Hello, Fina and Nyla! How are you both? Well, unfortunately, we are into the time of year when there is almost always a shortage of controlled substances. There are mandatory manufacturing limits to help keep better track of the supply and once a company reaches that limit, they can not manufacture anymore, until the new year. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and ...

In search of recommendations for a doctor/weight loss clinic in the Detroit area that will prescribe Adipex (phentermine) to an overweight but otherwise healthy me. Inquired with my family doctor a few times only to have my interest brushed off. ## I just got mine from Dr. Bouier on greenfield and 9mile. I lost 7. lbs in two effin days. 2 EFFIN DAYS! My combo is phentermine 37.5 and wellbutrin. ## How much was your Adipex and do you have to be a patient to get a prescription? ## How much was your visit and how much was the adipex? ## What about Kalamazoo, Mi or near there, do you know of any? I was talking to an employee of DrToHelp and not sure I want to take a chance with them, especially giving them my credit card account info.

Hi I have high anxiety I have poor appetite, my mom just died I have panic attacks my heart races..I feel like I am going to pass out and I have trouble leaving the house ## Hello, Megan! How are you? I'm sorry about the problems that you're having. Due to the new regulations set forth by the DEA last year, if you require such a medication, you'll need to see a specialist. A general practitioner won't be able to prescribe it for you, so you'll need to see a psychologist. The FDA lists Xanax as benzodiazepine that's most commonly used to treat anxiety and nervous disorders. It carries the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability. Do you currently have a PCP that could refer you to someone? If so...

I was hurt in car accident but, I have prescription for 30 mg oxcodone can't find pharmacy to fill them .I can get to surronding suburbs near detroit. ## Sorry to hear about your situation. From what I've recently read from others under similar circumstances, there are rumors going around that Oxycodone in all its forms are gradually being taken off the market by the FDA. This would explain why very few people are having success finding a pharmacy to fill it; especially in Florida. I haven't found any official announcements that verify this claim, but I think the vast number of people unable to fill their scripts speaks for itself in many ways. Have you talked to your doctor about this? I'm not sure he or she would continue prescribing something if it can't ever be f...

I'm sorry about your medical issues. To get proper treatment for this, you'll most likely have to see a neurologist, due to the new directives set forth by the DEA last year, most general practitioners are going to be reluctant to prescribe such a medication and treat such issues. Hello my pain doctor just prescibed me oxycodone ER 40mg and I can't find a pharmacy in the Detroit Metro Area that has it. If anyone knows where I can possibly get this fill at in Michigan please let me know as I am out of meds today and in dire need. ## I wish I could offer more assistance, but unfortunately there's no real way of knowing what certain pharmacies have in stock at any given moment. Not only does this change on a frequent basis, but calling them up and asking doesn't necessarily work either, since they are usually trained to say no if a stranger is calling about narcotics on the phone. Although driving around can be a pain (no pun intended), going in-person to each pharmacy tends to be the most reliable option in that regard. If it's of any help to your s...

I am starting this thread so we may be able to aid each other when we have problems filling our prescriptions in Metro Detroit area. If you'd like to just make it all of Michigan that would be fine too since some people may travel out of the Metro Area. I haven't been able to fill my script for a week now and I have hit every pharmacy imaginable. If I am successful at filling my script, I will list the pharmacy that was able to fill it afterwards. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Let's ban together and make this stressful and unfortunate situation easier for those of us who have had to wrongfully suffer through the negligence of the med chain. We shouldn't have to suffer because of those whom abuse the system and perform criminal activities when it comes to the very...

My husband received a script of Oxycodone 30 mg a few weeks ago from his surgeon and I cannot find a pharmacy to get them filled at. They mostly say they do not carry them or they are on back order. I have called everywhere. Any suggestions? Anyone know a pharmacy that carries it? Thanks in advance. ## This has become an ongoing problem all over the U.S. and I am not sure exactly why, but there may be some shortages going on, as well as new dispensing regulations. The best suggestion I can make is that if you have insurance, I'd suggest you check with your prescription insurance provider and see if they have a mail order pharmacy that you can use. This has worked for many people that were having trouble getting their narcotic prescriptions filled. Learn more Oxycodone details here. ...

In the detroit area there is a incredible shortage of norco. Pharmacy's say they have no info. Called FDA. Release date dec 15th add 3-4 days for delivery from distributors. I'm just trying to be patient but I'm finding it difficult. If you frequent a CVS pharmacy STOP they are so rude. Find a neighborhood pharmacy ## Hello, Sa Bic! How are you? I'm sorry that you're having a problem getting your prescription filled. It is common for shortages to occur towards the end each year, due to DEA mandated manufacturing limits on controlled substances. Once a manufacturer reaches their limit for the year, they can no longer manufacture new product, until after the new year. Inevitable, demand exceeds supply and shortages occur. According to the FDA, this is a narcotic analge...

Anyone in Detroit? If anyone has that information, I will be eternally grateful!!!! {edited for privacy} Natalie ## Hello, Nat! How are you? It depends what you need the Methadone to treat. It it's for chronic pain, then any doctor can prescribe it, but due to the new regulations, you'll need to see a pain management specialist if you require it on a long-term ongoing basis. However, if you require it for drug addiction or maintenance treatment, then you can only receive that in a clinical setting from those that are specially trained in its use for such.
