CAN I DISCONTINUE DEPLATT IF BLOOD RESULTS ARE NORMAL . I HAD AGIOPLASTY 7 MONTHS EARLIER. ## That is actually something that you will need to discuss with your doctor. No one over the internet can possibly know your medical history or how this drug affects you, as well as the benefits or disadvantages that it provides you; etc. Personally I would continue using the medication as prescribed by your doctor, until you run out. But again, this is something you would need to confirm with your doctor just to play it safe, per say.

Is it a blood pressure tablet? My Dr. advised this tablet (a single dose daily). How long should I take it for? I want to know for what purpose it is used. ## Hello, Ramesh! How are you? This is actually a blood thinner that is used to help prevent blood clots, according to the NIH. Its typical side effects are listed as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding, and easy bruising. You should take it for as long as your doctor instructs you to do so. Is there anything else I can help with?

My father is having heart problems. He has also undergone stents. He is taking Deplat CV. I just wanted to know when should the medicine be taken for best results, day or night and after or before meals? ## There is no specific time of day that is better, whenever it is convenient for him should be fine, as long as he doesn't miss any doses, unless his doctor instructs otherwise. It may cause nausea, as a side effect, if that occurs taking it with meals may help prevent that, according to the NIH. Other side effects may include dizziness, headache, joint/muscle pain, and increased risk of bleeding. Is there anything else I can help with?

For 6 months I visited my doctor who did angioplasty for me. On the 6th month my doctor prescribed me DEPLATT-CV (one capsule a day). On both of my legs below the ankle swelling occurs. Is it because of this capsule administered to me? It contains Atorvastatin which was discontinued by my doctor earlier due to the same problem (now experienced in legs) in my palm and fingers. Doctor prescribed this medicine in place of Beta-Nicardia Is this medicine is good because it contains Asprin. ## This medication actually isn't used to treat high blood pressure. It is used as a blood thinner and to prevent blood clotting, so it's nothing like the Beta-Nicardia that you were taking. Are you sure it was supposed to replace it, or are you perhaps supposed to take it in addition to the other? Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, stomach irritation and increased risk of bleeding. ## DEh PLATT-CV 20 is Clopidogrel Bisulphate ( 75 mg ) with Atrovastain ( 20 mg ) and Aspirin ( 75 mg ). For the last 12 years I have been taking Deplatt A 75 & Pantodac 40mg as a precautionary measure. I never had any heart disease. During this period I was posted in different parts of the country. After that the doctor changed it to an Aspirin & antacid combination although there were no findings of heart disease. Now I am 65 and also taking blood pressure tablets (FBX 40 and Lipiking 10). My lipid profile was above the normal limit about 5 yrs back and now it is well within normal range. Should I continue all these medicines?
