What specific medications are recommended for treating dengue fever? ## I have been suffering from a fever & headache for the last 10 days. After a blood test, my platelet count was 97,000 & I developed dengue fever. Now I am under hospital treatment taking Monocef 1g. How long will it take to cure my condition?

my dad is a nephratic syndrome second degree patient,recently his serum creatinine level was 1.4,was having fever with low platelet count his advised to be admitted in ICU was kept in ICU for 22 days platelet count increased but his haemoglobin level decreased to 6.8,stills he feel weak and stand on his feet,he his used to dialysis now,earlier dialysis was done since it was required on him,his kidney worsened and his health also.suggest us what to do.was it right to use XIGRIS or is he facing side effects of XIGRIS now??suggest lagaaly what steps we can take on hospital and doctor. ## I am 50 years, my platelet count 80,000. Hb 15.0, TLC 5,100. How can I raise platele count? suggest diet, exercise etc.

dengue fever ## This medication is unavailable in the U.S. and I am sorry to say that other countries do not regulate their prescription drugs as strictly as the FDA does. That said, finding information on them is very difficult, since there are no databases which list them all, like there are for U.S. prescription drugs. The only thing I can suggest is that you try asking your doctor or pharmacist for more information.

After viral in last week of august again i had dengue From october 03. on oct 10 i came out. But My fever remains 99 to 99.6 throughout the day. My doctor gave me Augmentin 650 but no relief, Stomach tab but no relief. At last My doctor gave me oflox 400. I want to know why? ## Because Oxfloxacin is a different antibiotic, in a different class. Since the Augmentin didn't help, he is is trying to find something that will help you. Is clofenac causes death, while a patient infected with Dengue fever have it. ## What have the doctors said was the cause of death? However, any type of NSAID can increase the bleeding associated with Dengue Fever, since they do have blood thinning properties. ## A doctor gave clofenac to a high fever patient before taking the blood test. After 2 days, that patient diagnosised with Dengue Fever and sent to hospital. Next day that patient die. Parent of that patient accuses doctor that clofenac caused death. I'm curious about this issue. Does anybody know about that?

What is the role and mechanism of antibiotics in treating dengue fever? ## All of sudden my whole family caught a viral fever after a short trip on a railway. I am having severe body pain along with the pain at each of the joint of my body since past 2 days. I had a test for Thyroid, Blood sugar, Dengue. Reports are normal and Dengue is negative. Am having viral fever and want to know whether I can Ceftas 200 ## Ceftas contains Cefixime, which is an antibiotic and as such, no it is not effective against viruses.
