Are there any rules pending or active regarding placing all chronic pain patients on a morphine equivalent ratio of 120 mg. per day? To patients who have never taken an opiate this is a big dose; however, those of use who have been chronic pain sufferers for years know each individual is unique in the type, amount, how the medication is taken as to what dose works for us. The goal is to take the least amount to allow us to function at a reasonable level. I pray some common sense prevails. I have an enlarged vein that goes thru the muscle of my foot which has caused inflammation in this muscle and it hurts constantly. I was told my vein size is 99 and it should be 45 but before it can be corrected I have to loose 30 lbs in order to receive this procedure. In the meantime I have to suffer with this pain. Concerning the combined use of Penicillin, Ibuprofen and Hydrocodone, umm.edu's drug interaction checker doesn't list any interactions between these three medications.
