im in texas and have been on methadone for 9 yrs and its not looking good to get my methadone in williston, mabe a dr cause i see North dakota is the only state that does not take methadone clinics help please ## Hello, Rebecca! How are you? If you require it for addiction/maintenance treatment, then a clinic is your only option. A private practice doctor is not allowed to prescribe it for that. And yes, North Dakota does have Methadone clinics, as well. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Do you know where the methadone clinics are in north Dakota ??? I've been trying to move there for the past 3 yrs and have...

Hello, I just moved to North Dakota two weeks ago and I have a prescription for Xanax. I filled my prescription on the 27th of July 2015 and am due for a refill on the 26th this month (August 2015). I live in a small town, Scranton, ND and the closest pharmacy to me is in Bowman, ND, about 13 miles away, and from what I have been told, the prices at the pharmacy there are extremely overpriced. Currently I am unemployed and cannot afford the prices I have heard that they have, so I'm going to have to travel to Dickinson, ND, around an hour away from where I live, at their local Wal Mart to get a refill. Problem is, I own an old rundown '89 pickup truck that I don't think would be safe to make the trek in, so I'm going to have to get a ride from my father on one of his day...

Anyone know any pain management doctors in Yankton South Dakota? I have fibromyalgia, arthritis, DDD, spinal stenosis and two bulging discs in my back. In winter the pain becomes unbearable due to the cold. My GP prescribes me 30 x 5mg hydrocodone a month. My old pain doctor gave me 4 x 10 mg a day, but I am no longer close to her.

I had something similar moving from one state to another. I have bad panic attacks and due to a congenital defect in my heart i had a heart attack during my panic attack. The PA said she was more concerned with loosing her licence even though my cardiologist said to stay on the Xanex she wants to take me off. He said my chances were not as good to live through a second heart attack. I am going to switch doctors. She is only a Physician Assistant for the doctor but she actually told me her concern was not me but loosing her lic...

I just moved to North Dakota from Texas and in Texas I had a pain Dr. for extreme migraines, they call it chemo brain, as a result from when I was on 3 years of chemo. Well it's harder to find a pain dr here than what I thought, they'll all 2 months out so are family Drs. I take 12 15mg oxycodone daily and I ran out 2 days ago went to the ER because I was hurting so bad and he gave me 20 4mg Percocets. They're are gone now I took the last one when I woke up. Since those 2 days I was taking Percocets does that count as tapering to help the withdrawal a little. I have no idea what I'm in for and I cannot find anyone to prescribe me any sort of withdrawal medicine, that's all I'm worried about! ## Brittnay- have you looked into suboxone doctors to get you off the ox...

When a doctor ripped up my pain scripts/without warning or detox I'd legally taken for over 10 yrs I went from 98% function to 2% I felt as though I had /was being electrocuted.the Md at the ER said pain causes your brain to change and things you'd never do /feel can be real.I am on a contract pain regimen.I broke my hip.had type 2diabetes neuropathy, with my allergies I couldn't take the other meds.people who know me know I push myself yet others only see what they want ## @Dakota, Sorry to hear about your situation. According to a news article on ScienceDaily, "'If you are a chronic pain patient, you have pain 24 hours a day, seven days a week, every minute of your life," Chialvo said. "That permanent perception of pain in your brain makes these areas in you...

Moved to western North Dakota from East Coast. Have been prescribed methadone for 15+ years to treat legitimate pain. Have taken same dose for last 8 years; (100mg/day). If anyone lives in this area if the country and might have a name for me, it would certainly help as I search for a physician. I have my records for every year of pain treatment, including tri annual drug panels (always + for proper med/dose), all Rx records with same pharmacy, and haven't ever needed script filled early, I take meds exactly as prescribed, and just want to create a positive relationship with a new physician who can see that I am a trustworthy patient and just want treatment for my pain. Does anyone have a good and intelligent M.D., who knows all the benefits of methadone for long term pain managemen...

People in 14 states can now walk into a CVS and pick up an opioid-overdose antidote without a script, the company announced yesterday. Naloxone was already available in stores in Rhode Island and Massachusetts, but now Arkansas, California, Minnesota, Mississippi, Montana, New Jersey, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Utah, and Wisconsin join that list, CNNMoney reports.

I recently moved back to Michigan after living in South Dakota for two years. My doctor from SD wrote me three paper prescriptions that I picked up the end of February, each dated for March 2nd, April 2nd, and May 2nd. Tomorrow I'm going to see a new doctor here in Michigan to establish care. I am going to speak with the new doctor about increasing my dosage. (I haven't had an actual appointment with my SD doctor since October or else I would've discussed this with him before moving) Anyway, I'm going to the same office I did before moving, so my new doc will be able to see my history in their system. I had my prescription filled two days ago (still have one left, which I will shred or give to new doc.) My question is, if my new doc increases my dosage, will I be able to...

Please call senator Bennetts office at 303-455-7600, I did today. I asked how do I speak with my senator and told my story of how Colorado has basically thrown chronic pain patients to rot. I told how I couldn't leave Colorado to say goodbye to my friend in South Dakota who will pass from cancer any day because my doctor will not allow a vacation over ride. How we are all subject to no MEDACATION at all if a false positive UA were to happen, we are the ONLY GROUP MADE TO SIGN CONTRACTS, if you lost or our medication was stole it CAN NOT BE REPLACED leaving us to seriously medical harm. We are the only group who can be subjectively stereotype as addicts and turned away Even with medically based evidence. We can save ourself if we speak out in numbers ! This office is listening...plea...
