Thus, I can only conclude that your doctor probably wants to bring your BP up to normal levels and to help you with the fatigue you are experiencing from the MS. I have been prescibed 20 mg of the d-amphetamine salt combo 3 times a day. I need to wean myself from this drug as quickly as possible. Can I do it without a doctor's help by cutting each dose in half? ## Hi Susie, Yes it can be done without a doctor's help if you are confident in your own ability. Usually for drugs like this the safest way to stop taking them is to tapper off them, if possible. Some medications can be taken in fractions (actually cut into pieces) and these smaller pieces can be taken in place of the regular dose for a period of several weeks until the body is no longer dependent upon them. I take 30 mg ER twice a day and it seems to wear off latter on before the evening time. I took on 20 mg capsule and in a hour nothing happened. Its been about 8 hours now and I'm wondering if i need a bigger dose. When i took nothing happened that people warned me about. my dr rx amphetamine salts combo 30 mg bid. I usually use another brand but i was given actavis and its making me sleepy and not sure if its the brand or im ill or not working as should. My doctor prescribed this to me for my ADHD. The prescription read Dextroamphetamine, 10 mg Tab. Before I got pregnant I used to take D-Amphetamine Salt Combo 20mg's which really helped with my symptoms. My doctor acted weird saying he doesn't like to prescribe the D-Amphetamine anymore because it's an upper and a downer. Made absolutely no sense to me. I took a half of a adipex yesterday and i go to a methadone clinic. I was drug tested this morning and if i come back dirty my phases that i have earned will be taken. I take d-amphetamine salt combos 20mg twice daily, and I recently had a hair drug test for pre-employment purposes. I tested positive for methamphetamine at a level of 570ng/mg, but I have never touched meth! They already did the GC/MS, and are now doing an isomer test, but they say that my adderall could NOT have cause a positive meth result! I've seen in other responses that this is possible, however I can't find any documentation to prove this.
