I have been on cymgen 60 for about 6 months then reduced myself to 30 for past 4 months. I have always weighed no more than 54kg and am now sitting on 68kg. This is enough to cause anyone more depression than what they already suffering. Furthermore I also feel constantly tired, have dizzy spells. My husband says every week he has a different wife, one week Im arrogant and cocky, the next Im loving and insecure, the next Im nasty to everyone etc etc, isnt there a medication that can prevent these drastic changes in personality?? I have been on soooo many others over the years, nothing has seemed to help. I dont really suffer from the deep bouts of depression anymore but definitely have my weeks where I feel down and pretty worthless and am hard on myself and struggle to make it to work....

Is Cymgen associated with lens opacity? I recently found out that I have opaque areas in the lenses of my eyes. I have been on Cymgen for several years and reduced my dose from 90mg to 60mg about 3 years ago. Vision disturbances are listed as a possible side effect, and I was wondering if Cymgen could be the cause as this condition is unusual in a person of my age (40s) ## No, even in the detailed side effects for medical professionals, I am only finding that it has been known to cause blurred vision in about 4% of the people take it. I accidentally lost my Cymgen 60mg while on holiday and it was two days before I was able to get it again. The first day without it I experienced what I can only describe as a "zing" in my head. It's like I can see an electric pulse and feel the vibrations down my body. It's a sharp and quick sensation. Usually occurring when I stand up, or when I move around too much. The second day it got increasingly worse and I started a migraine. Is this normal? ## Yes, any time you've been taking a medication for awhile and suddenly miss a few doses, or stop taking it abruptly, it's normal to experience some mild withdrawal and rebound effects. Cymgen contains the active ingredient Duloxetine, which is an SNRI antidepressant and they can be especially problematic, since the...

Have been on cymgen for nearly 7 years now. It has worked but now the side effects are getting to be too much. Muscle stiffness, constant headache and I can't go a single day without them, it's the worst feeling ever. I have been a drug addict for 15 years and not even opioid withdrawals are as bad as cymgen withdrawals. I have tried to cut down to 30 mg but couldn't bare the withdrawals. Now I am on 60 mg and its seems to not work as good as it use to. Somedays I really can't get up. I am always so stiff in my neck. I also get heart palpitations, bad blood circulation and I feel withdrawn from everything around me. I don't feel any emotion. This is now enough. I want to stop taking this med. This is not a life I promise you that. ## Hello, Andre! How are you? When d...

I was on cymgen 120 mg for 6 months. Treatment for fibromaylgia. It made me mentally unstable. I had night mares twitching grinding teeth and felt no emotion. I was so desperate to be switched off. I considered suicide. I was admitted to hospital where they just added to my meds. This led to jerking and shaking. I decided to cut the meds down myself. And started to feel better. I went down to 60 mg of cymgen but the jerking and confusion didn't stop. This week I decided to stop it. Its been awful. But today for the first time im not twitching. And the jerking and fast heart rate has stopped. I still don't feel happiness But I'm on my way there. Cymgen was supposed to help with my physical pain but instead it drove me to madness. I was on cipralex for 8 years and I never felt...

The dr prescribed me cymgen and I am very afraid of gaining weight as I already struggle with my weight. Is there anything I can do to ensure that I dont gain weight? ## Cymgen contains the active ingredient Duloxetine, which is an SNRI antidepressant and while this class of medications is known to cause some weight gain, it is usually not significant. That's why they are chosen, by many doctors, over the SSRI class, for patients with weight issues. As to making certain you don't gain any, there are a few things you can try that may help. One is to keep track of your eating habits, since this effects brain chemicals, it is highly possible that it could cause your appetite to become increased, which could result in your eating more food than you actually need. Thus, you should tr...

I have been on Cymgen 60mg for three weeks and it is a miracle, from being super stressed, anxious, unable to sleep and very short tempered, I now feel great, sleep well awake rested and am calm without being docile. Maybe it just suits me. Started reading other comments, the only side effect I have noticed is that I am eating more, which isn't a problem as I normally don't take the time to eat...being too busy, stressed etc. It agrees with my body. ## It's so great to hear of someone where the medication is working!! With meds there are usually more negative effects in the majority than positive, so it's a relief to hear it does work for someone. I'm on Cymgen 60mg once a day (was on for about 6 mths and was doing well, so took myself off = NOT a good idea), so back...

Hello. I started to take cymgen, my first 60mg dose was last night and I am feeling very weird. Shaky, sweaty, nausea, headaches, loss of appetite and my mind is very foggy. Will these side effects go away as my body adjusts to the medication? Also when is it best to take the medication, morning or evening? I took it last night and didn't get any sleep. ## hello, Olivia! How are you doing? Have things improved? Cymgen contains the active ingredient Duloxetine and it can cause these types of side effects in some people that take it, but if they are that severe, you should consult your doctor. iv been taking cymgen 60 for about 4 months tryed to get off the tablet but experienced bad withdrawals,so im on cymgen 30 now for 2 months but i want to get off this tablet but need to know if there is something non addictive to help get off this tab and help with the withrawals ## What has your doctor advised? Cymgen contains the active ingredient Duloxetine, which is an SNRI antidepressant and since it does work on brain chemicals, it can cause withdrawal and rebound effects, if stopped suddenly. Your doctor, however, should be able to help you taper off of it and may be able to suggest something, or prescribe something that will minimize the withdrawal and rebound effects. I'd like to get off Cymgen 60mg and change my lifestyle and diet intead of depending on drugs. I also want to use supplements. I have been on Cymgen 60mg for 8 months now. Will I be able to be weened off safely by a professional? How does the weening off process work? ## Hello, Aiden! How are you? Yes, they could definitely help you wean off this medication, usually they have you gradually start lowering your dose every week, or two. The FDA warns that if the process is undertaken too fast, you may experience some withdrawal effects that could include nausea, chills, rebound depression, muscle aches and anxiety. Hi I was on Cymgen 60mg for one month only. Lost 7 kg's. I am skinny so my body does not have that additional fat to loose. I am falling around like a drunk and are so dizzy. Withdrawal symptoms are so severe that all my lymph nodes are extremely inflamed. In fact, I experienced all the extreme side effects. Did not do the cold Turkey thing, yet in the period that I used it, I was hyperactive, which for a fibromyalgia patient with constant fatigue syndrome, it only led to Burn Out! I am unable to write my final board exams. How long do these withdrawal symptoms last? It seems to be getting worse? Not using anti depressants at present. ## How long has it been since you stopped taking it? How are you feeling, now? Has there been any change? It is odd for it to cause such symptoms, aft...
