I suffer from panic attacks and was givin this med for a muscle relaxant. The only problem is I worry because right before I fall asleep I get drowning sensations and I am worried that I'm not going to wake up if I were to pass out. ## Hello, Paul! How are you? My husband has a prescription for cyclobenzaprine from 2013 and is haveing an awful muscle spasm can he take one from his old prescription even though it is 2 years old? ## It doesn't become dangerous, once expired, but it does start to lose efficacy, so it most likely won't work as well as it did, when new. He should double check with his doctor, before taking it.
