I have a cracked tongue, mostly in the front and have this salty taste in my mouth. When I eat foods it stings...the salty taste has been in my mouth for a few months. I do have post nasal drip and ear problems... What to do? ## If this has been going on for a month you need to consult your physician or go to the ER right away. Wishing you the best of health. Your mouth is the quickest area to heal. I would lay off of all foods with salt in them. ## The NIH warns that these symptoms could be signs of dehydration. Do you also have any dry skin, or dry lips? What color is your urine? How much fluid do you take in each day? I must agree with the other post, since it has been going on this long, you should really have this checked out by your doctor. I frequently get the salty taste, when I...

I have dry and cracking lips. I stopped wearing my lipsticks but the dryness continues. What can I use to repair my lips? They are often burning and it hurts too. ## Hello, Juanita! How are you doing? Has there been any change? I used to experience that, when I had forced air heat, since it tends to cause the air to be very dry, I tried everything to help, and none of the ointments, or lip balms worked. I didn't find any relief, until I started using a humidifier to keep the air moist. It's also very important to make sure that you are taking in adequate fluids, since dry, cracking lips can be one of the first signs of dehydration. How much liquid do you take in each day? Are you on any medications that might be contributing to the problem?

I'm not sure how many are aware of all the new changes Medicaid has and continues to change against suboxone, not good! At one time medicaid paid for suboxone with PA without all the restrictions. After adding many restrictions causing many doctors to stop doing PA meaning you paid our of pocket for your meds even though you have 100% medicaid. Then as of April 1st 2017 the ARTS Program started that claimed anyone who had medicaid shouldn't be paying out of pocket for their meds. Also they claimed there would be many doctors taking medicaid for the office visit, well that was a lie and the few who do really put you through the ringer. I was told I would receive reimbursement from my insurance for the off call and meds by filing a appeal under the ARTS program and send all receipt...

for eczema, psoriasis- seeping, cracking, blistering skin- I personally used it from the age of 6 mos. in 1955 to 1988, then it disappeared from shelves- it was an over the counter cream and it really worked. At the age of 3 months my skin would swell, crack and seep a clear liquid- a pediatrician introduced the cream to my mother and at the time they had a bar soap, shampoo and cream-of which I used occasionally over the course of 30 years then all of a sudden it disappeared. I did have part of a jar I used sparingly and guarded with my life and I called the company that made the cream and they said that they took the recipe out of circulation. The jar is long gone- sadly and I do not know the name of the pharmaceutical company that originally made it. I now am entering menopause and m...

I have an upper ,cracked, decayed, piece of tooth that has been there awhile. I noticed that above the tooth was 2 whiteish spot on the gum. No pain yet, however... I am currently taking sulfamethox-tmp ds for uti. Question-- Will this also work for infected gum or not? I was given 10 tablets to take twice a day. Thanks :) ## It is an antibiotic, so it can also help with that, but it is really only going to last as long as your taking and possibly a week or so after. Since the problem that's causing the infection will still be there, it is highly likely that it will just recur. You should really see a dentist to get the problem resolved. It would be best to do it while you are on the antibiotic, or as soon as possible as you stop, because it more painful to have them remove the tooth,...

Hi, I am aware of the big florida crackdown on pill mills. However, I have legit pain and no insurance. So, does anyone know of a place that accepts walk ins with no insurance. I am in Tampa florida ## Google amerinet health.. call.. make app.. go ## Finding a walk-in clinic that will prescribe pain medications will be difficult in any area of the country, due to the fact that such medications are very heavily regulated and the patients require regular monitoring. DO you have any type of family doctor that may help, or that may be able to recommend someone? ## Where is it located and how much it cost thank u

I have wisdom teeth that cracked and I haven't got them pulled out. Now the ones in front of my wisdom teeth cracked and got holes and hurt really bad. Can I use this antibiotic? ## Macrobid (Nitrofurantoin) is usually not the preferred antibiotic to treat dental infections. It is most commonly used to treat urinary tract infections. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, diarrhea, and stomach pain. It would be best to see a dentist, so they can prescribe the appropriate medications and correct the problems that have caused these issues. If you allow them to continue, things are just going to keep getting worse. As someone that has had to get dentures due to severe dental issues throughout my life, I can tell you that while I do lov...

My tooth cracked in half very sharp pain is in the tooth it is infected and I had a hip replacement in Feb, 2014. I still have this medicine that s good and want to relieve pain tonight. Can I use this medicine now? I will see dr. tomorrow. ## Hello, Angie! How are you? The FDA classifies this medication as an antibiotic, so it will only teat bacterial infections. Typical side effects are listed as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. However, it will not alleviate the pain. In order for this to help with the pain, it has to start fighting the infection and that will take several days. It's also best not to take it, unless your doctor confirms the presence of an infection and tells you that it's appropriate to do so. Taking it inap...

personally i think, the DEA, is cracking down, i know the doctors are scared their gonna lose their license, where i live they are getting ridiculous about it! there is an epidemic, which in return is ruining it for us folks who really need the stuff to just even feel a little comfort from excrutiating pain, there is even a brand called "qualitest" for God sakes! not positive, but i believe, food and drug adm., are lowering the strength, to get american's off the drug!!!!! ## From what I've seen, Watson does have a yellow and white version of their "853" generic Acetaminophen + Hydrocodone tablets. They list the dosage as still being 325/10 in the newer white ones, however, there have been numerous complaints from patients who have tried both versions, saying tha...

I am on warfarin and just crack from Mexico. Can I take this? ## My findings state that there are potentially unsafe interactions between Warfarin and Sulfamethoxazole. Quoted below are the precautions you should be aware of: "Using warfarin together with sulfamethoxazole may increase the risk of bleeding, especially if you are elderly or have kidney or liver impairment. You may need more frequent monitoring of your prothrombin time or INR by your doctor to safely use both medications. Call your doctor promptly if you experience any unusual bleeding or bruising, swelling, vomiting, blood in your urine or stools, headache, dizziness, or weakness during treatment with these medications. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and her...

moved to milw 8 months ago. have re-injured tailbone which was cracked few years ago. need pain meds and don't want to go through all the crazy tests (paying my own bills self employed) any clue? ## Hi, Lynn! Sorry about the pain that you're in, I really hate to see anyone miserable. However, it isn't likely that you're going to find a doctor to just prescribe you medications, without wanting you to have tests done, as well. Due to the new regulations that have been put in place, they must have a valid reason for prescribing such medications, if they don't, they risk losing their license to practice medicine. The best suggestion I can make is to contact your local hospital and ask them to connect you with their social work department. In many cases, they have lists o...
