This is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory that can treat pain, fever and swelling. It may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and stomach irritation. These medications are processed through the liver and long-term use may cause liver damage or failure, thus you should take it only as long as your doctor says it is safe for you to do so. 1 REPLYCan I take myprodol with coxflam at the same time? I have RA and for the first time in a few years my wrist is swollen and very painful. I do not want an inj. ## No, Myprodol contains Ibuprofen, Paracetamol, and Codeine, while Coxflam contains Meloxicam, this both it and hte Ibuprofen are nonsteroidal anti-inflammatories that are used to treat the same conditions, and it isn't safe to double up on them, due to the risk of liver damage, liver failure, stomach damage, and stomach ulceration, according to NIH reports. 1 REPLY Filed under MeloxicamI have been taking coxflam on and off for a year or two or three for inflammation of the knees. I have osteo arthritis and now have it in my back as well. I find some relief from Coxflam which I sometimes also use with a pain killer such as Mypaid forte. I am concerned that this will eventually cause stomach problems as I also have diverticulitis. Sometimes I feel like taking my chances as the pain gets the better of me and the relief worth it. Please give me your thoughts on this. thank you Nicolene
Filed under ArthritisCan Coxflam cause anorgasmia in women? ## Coxflam contains the active ingredient Meloxicam, which is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug. And from what I could gather, no webpages I've seen list this as one of the side effects. There are however a number of other side effects that in my opinion could cause an inability to orgasm. You can view a list here: nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/druginfo/meds/a601242.html#side-effects It has also been noted that many prescription and over-the-counter medications can interfere with orgasm, including blood pressure medications, antihistamines and antidepressants — particularly selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs). I don't believe Meloxicam (NSAID) falls into any of these categories, but there's no doubt it's...

2 REPLIES Filed under HumiraEasy to live with warfarin once you get your INR settled..the alternative is not so attractive!! IThe best advice is to accept it and work with it, not against it, and hav a doctor you trust. I now have my bloods done monthly which is gr8 after all the weekly tests..not a big deal..I hav a St Jude INR testing machine at home, its just like a blood test machine my mum has for her diabetes, I can use it to monitor my INR but choose to go to the blood collection agency ..thats my choice..before my op I loved a few drinks, take away, and smokes etc.. but after mitral valve replacement am happy to be alive with warfarin as my only medication..get to live and see my children & grandchildren every day..how blessed. ## I have just had an aortic valve relacement can I take coxflam with warfa...
