I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism about 5 years ago. I started taking Synthroid and lost 40 pounds within about a year (I was actually almost underweight - joy of joys, right?) Slowly, I gained weight, and couldn't diet or exercise it off. I was sick and hardly ate for 5 days and didn't lose an ounce. But, my weight still wasn't terribly. Flash forward to 3 months ago when my doctor upped my dosage. Within the past two months, I've gained 12 pounds - 5 of those pounds were gained between last night and this morning. I ate normally, so what gives? I'm putting on weight at an alarming weight and nothing seems to help. Any ideas out there? For now, I'm going back to my old dosage. ## Hello, Rose! How are you doing? I'm very sorry about your weight issue. Howev...

Holly cow does this drug gives me crazy anxiety...like the worst anxiety I have ever had. It also makes me extremlyy irratable and out right mean. Im trying to hang in there too see if things change but so far Contrave sucks and im probally going to quit. Side effects too much ## Hello, Sesa76! How are you? The Bupropion in it has been known to cause those types of issues in some people that take it, according to the FDA. You may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and anorexia. I tried it once, about 10 years ago, for smoking cessation and had to stop taking it, because it make me feel like I'd drunk several pots of coffee, I was almost bouncing off the walls, so my doctor had me stop taking it, after just a couple of doses. There are other options you can try, ...

I called a coworker, who happens to be a nurse also, from my house (she was at her house) and asked her some questions about pain meds. My husbands had been misplaced during our move and he was having an awful time. He's diabetic, has heart issues, has neuropathy and a few other issues. I've overheard her telling others about meds she has at home if they needed them (not necessarily narcotics). I asked if she had anything or knew what he could take like 4 Advil then and hour later 4 Tylenol. I assumed because she knows I'm not a pill popper that she was aware I wasn't asking for narcotics. I have learned that she called HR on me and said I was asking for pain meds (in a way I was). I did ask for alternate methods that he could take due to his issues but not wanting her t...

I had a urinary problem after I bought and ate the kidney of a cow. I was feeling a hot sensation when urinating, so Purbac DS is one drug I was given three days ago. I am still in pain when urinating four days later. ## I'm also having difficulties when urinating. It's painful and I started on this medication a week ago. ## I have just started taking purbac medication but was taking the wrong dose until I noticed. Now, the problem is that I'm left with 4 doses and my next refill date is on 28/10/2017, so I wonder if it's possible to skip my dose? ## Lawrence, have you finished your full course of treatment with the Purbac DS? Has there been any change? The FDA lists the typical side effects of Purbac DS as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and non-allergic...

However, what medication was it that he had a bad experience with? You forgot to mention it, nor did you post this in any particular drug forum. Can you please post back with more details? Thanks!

Is it safe to take Xarelto for afib if one has had heart valve replacement in the past ( cow valve)? ## Hello, Jhm! How are you? I have to admit that I don't know. There is a warning not to take it, if you have an artificial valve, but I'm not seeing anything about it with an animal valve. Did you discuss it with your doctor? Your pharmacist may also know more. The FDA lists the typical side effects of Xarelto as including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and easy bruising.

I was taking out a fire alarm system in a Walmart, as they had been shut down/sold. Walking through the stripped down store, my coworker and I decided to stroll through the pharmacy (he was making fun of me the whole time "what are you gonna find here" and "pill fiend"). Right as I walk in, I look down in the empty room and see a little round pill on the floor that read TEVA 834. I was wondering what this was? What are the odds of finding left behind medicine? Thinking about investigating further. We are the only ones in the building, and all security systems/cameras have been demo-ed out. How could they just leave pills laying around? Lol ## Accidents always happen, even in a well controlled and maintained pharmacy. There will always be a pill, or two, that falls somewh...

I want to quit taking them but, I really do have a tremendous anxiety disorder, even around friends, family and coworkers. I feel that xanax somehow manages or works for me and some days I feel I need more than I'm prescribed, which is the highest 2mg 3 times a day for 14yrs. So on the first of this year 2017 I tried to quit cold turkey, but 5 days into it I had a seizure and woke up with the ambulance putting me in to rush to the hospital. My blood pressure was 209 over 120. They gave me some benzo to help. I thought I was going to die and still do if I don't keep taking xanax... Anyhow, I'm asking any doctor, or addiction clinic for help. I really have a problem and feel my struggle with this medicine could result in my death. ## Rick, there are some great treatment progra...

Hi need info on this pill 30 milligram with v on one side and 4812 on the other side. Any help appreciated. ## Hello, Cowgirl! How are you? This tablet should be round, blue and have 4812 on one side, separated by a score line and the stylized V logo on the other side. It is manufactured by Qualitest Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 30mgs of Oxycodone in a regular release formulation. It is a generic for Roxicodone. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

Sore muscles ,can't sleep ,feel sick ,and I spend up to 8hrs a day on the toilet .And because I feel ill all the time , I am getting majorly depressed .I know I'll be a bit healthier at the end ,but due to the pain ,I'm beginning to think it's not worth it .(the pain) .The diazepam decrease is worrying ,as the last time the dr's tried to take me off,I developed spasticity in all my muscle ,especially my neck ,I am not kidding, the 'twitching' in my neck was so bad I had to go to hospita...

i have been having 3 to 4 capsules a day for the last 7 years but day by day i m feeling not fine like lake of confidense, restlessness, shaking hands, cowardness, not sleeping properly etc. using red color proxyvon made by wokhard company. ## Hi, Sandeep! I'm sorry about the way you're feeling. This is really not a safe medication to take and you should consult a doctor to have yourself checked out. Proxyvon contains Acetaminophen and Dextropropoxyphene and all of these Propoxyphene derivatives have been removed from the market in most countries due to the risk they cause of cardiac dangers. Learn more Proxyvon details here. And after taking it for 7 years, it would be normal for your body to build a tolerance to it and for it to stop working as well for you. Are there any othe...

I have been on regular suboxone for almost two years now and this month I had to pay nfor my medicine so I got the Generic subutex 8mg and holy cow it stings my tounge and mouth so bad, suboxone never did that. What the heck? Why does it do that and could it be an allergic reaction? ## Subutex doesn't list any side effects pertaining to such symptoms, however I do get the sense that it may be some type of allergic reaction to one or more of the binders/fillers in the medication. This type of response may also indicate a hypersensitivity to the medication. I wouldn't recommend taking any more if you keep responding to it in this way. Because if it really is an allergic reaction or hypersensitivity, the warnings for this drug state that you should contact your doctor immediately (...

Does anyone know if there is a shortage of the generic opanas? My pharmacy said they can't get the moons or the g from two different suppliers. I am in the Knoxville area. ## Hello, Cowboy! How are you? I'm sorry that you're having a problem finding your medication. Actually, there is usually a shortage for the last few months of the year, due to mandatory manufacturing limits. Once a manufacturer reaches their allotted yearly limit, they cannot manufacture any new product, until after the new year. Every year, demand exceeds supply and we end up with a shortage. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Here is an interesting story. Obviously I cannot validate it too much but wanted to throw this information out there and see if anybody else has heard of it. Basically about 6 years ago an Asian coworker friend of mine was mentioning that some of her friends had gotten prescriptions for Xalatan in order to grow facial hair. I came to learn that Xalatan is primarily used to treat the eyes, not cause hair growth! The reason I mentioned that she was Asian is because she explained that many Asian men do not grow thick facial hair. But after applying Xalatan to their faces, after some time, their facial hair supposedly came in thicker. Very interesting, I thought to myself. Then I went ahead and was reading some of Xalatan's side effects. Listed are: - May permanently darken eyelashes - ...

We have discovered a capsule called ReNu-Yu that gives the same relief from all the symptoms that Beline seems to but also has the benefit of having a vegetable derived capsule. Apparently there is some doubt about BSE (mad cow disease) in the bovine derived Beline capsules? My wife began taking ReNuYu in May 2012 & remarkably was free of pain almost immediately & certainly within hours of taking them on the first day! In 102 days she has only had to take 42 caps to remain pain free. Frankly amazing. What's more they only cost £15 GBP + £2.50 p&p. They arrived within a couple of days of ordering & still give a money back guarantee. Our friends have been ordering them too & have all had the same experience. The website, based in the U.S, states they cost...
