Cough

I have been taking from two days Banocide Forte & cough syrup for severe cough, difficulty speaking due cough, shortness of breath, clearing of voice consistently. I have been having cough, cold, fever for 3 weeks, now cold & fever have subsided but severe cough is still persisting. Kindly suggest. ## Getting often sore throat,wet cough,slight fever and tiredness. I want reason and medicine. ## Are you sure you are taking the right kind of medication? There are different medicines for different kinds of cough (i.e. oral expectorants, cough suppressants, topical ointments, etc).

How are you doing? Sorry about the problem that you're having. Yes, it may be one of your medications. Have you consulted your doctor? They should be able to help you figure out which one is causing it and prescribe an alternative that you can take.

Pinex cough syrup you had to mix it at home. ## From what I can find, it is no longer being manufactured. There are many posts online with people looking for it, but no stores seem to carry it anymore and the manufacturer does not list it. Info on a cough syrup called REM.It was manufactured, I believe by Maryland Pharmaceutical around the 1940's. I think it had a blue bottle with a orange circle with the name REM printed on it ## I'm sorry, but I can't find any information on this, which really isn't very surprising for that old of a product. There were also many differences back then for what were considered pharmaceutical products. I've been taking 2.5MG a day for the past 2 years with no side effects. In the last 10 week's, I've developed a cough? Is this late onset usual? ## Hello, Martin! How are you? As listed by the FDA, you may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination and hypotension. I have initially took 5/5 mg of coveram for 2 months.. after my bp was found to be at 160/100.. the doctor prescribed 10/10 coveram but it causes heavy dry cough which lasted for more than a month.. another doctor prescribed to me another medication to stop my coughing. ## A dry cough is a possible side effect of most blood pressure medications, according to the NIH.
