Good day,My mom age 65 has a persistant coughing,and she suffers from sinus also.My mom is allergic of Asprin.The docter at the pharmacy prescribed,Broncleer.please I would like to know if theres any asprin in Broncleer with codeine cough syrup?

I was told that the company Allergan is making a codeine with promethazine cough syrup previously manufactured by actavis is this true? ## @Mike, According to Allergan's product page (linked below), they do make Promethazine HCL (6.25 mg) + Codeine Phosphate (10 mg) syrup listed under the "Actavis Rx Product Catalog" on page 27 here: allergan.com/Actavis/media/PDFDocuments/2013_US_Rx_Product_Catalog.pdf. Based on the information in that link I think you're right that the formula could've been acquired from Actavis. Most narcotics do cross the placenta and can affect the baby, which is why some are born addicted when the mother is using or abusing such medications. Thus, it is not advisable to use them while pregnant, unless your doctor has instructed you to do so. I have been taking Broncleer with codeine cough syrup recreationally for 3 years now at an average dosage of 50ml daily. There has been talk of this medicine being blended with another cheaper cough syrup known simply as DPH by the back alley dealers who have the medicine. I have taken TUSSIONEX several times when I've had bronchitis. It really breaks up the congestion and helps with the cough. I got a bottle today and the consistency is like Water. Can you take coedine cough syrup while taking Methotrexate ## Based on my research there are no drug interactions found between Codeine and Methotrexate. This does not necessarily mean no interactions exist, but my sources state that every effort has been made to ensure that the information provided is accurate. With that said, (because I am not a doctor) the most I can tell you is that from what I've read, these two medications are regarded as being safe to take together and shouldn't present any problems outside of the normal side effects associated with each medication. I've took Cheratussin AC, M-End DM, neither even touches my cough, it's been going on for over a month and a half now! My question is whats a good cough medicine that will work?
