Cough substitute for tanna. presscripion date 2.2 2009. can I take it today for a cough or should I throw it out ? ## Hi molly, There's actually a lot of conflicting information around the topic of expired medication, but according to a Harvard Medical School family health article, except in rare cases (i.e. tetracycline), there is little chance of danger due to taking medications even up to 15 years beyond their expiration date. This conclusion was based upon a study conducted at the request of the US military due to stockpiles of expensive drugs they could otherwise need to replace every few years. The conclusion was that 90% of those drugs remained effective 10 - 15 years after the expiration date. I don't know if the drug you have happens to be one of these drugs from the st...

I have diabetes type 2 and am on metformin, metoprolol, potassium atorvastatin - can I take this cough medicine? ## I suggest you check with the prescribing doctor, or your pharmacist to make sure they are aware you are a diabetic. Technically, your history should be in both the drug store's & your doctor's computer system & they should alert you if there is a problem. Always err on the side of caution. I am a Type II Diabetic. My doctor prescribes this cough syrup for me each time I have bronchitis/pneumonia. Taken as directed (1-2 tsps every 6 hours ) I personally have never experienced a negative reaction. I offer this info. as an example NOT as confirmation the cough syrup is safe for you. For your own safety & good health, please call your medical prescriber or ...

You just have to find a Vet that can fill that specific prescription. I have gone through several Vets to find the Tussigon cough medication for our dog. I finally found a great Vet that can fill the prescription in their office every 30 days. That's the easiest way to go. ## How many pills and what was the cost? I just picked up 21 pills from my vet and it cost me $55.75. Can I get this filled cheaper anywhere? ## Thanks for the helpful feedback Jeri! If you'd be so kind, please also feel free to share your message in the existing Tussigon discussion threads so that others who may also be searching for this treatment will have a chance to read it and/or respond at: 1. tussigon hycodan 5mg for dogs 2. tussigon for dog problems @Barbara, I think the cost may vary from pharmacy to...

Hi my three year old son gets viral nd cold cough very frequently. dis time the duration was 20 days. he is now suffering frm viral again. his immunity is very weak. what should i do to increase his immunity. he is always on some or the other medicine. ## Frequent colds and such are normal for children, since they frequently put things in to their mouths and associate with other children that may be carrying it. There's really not much you can do to change it, except for being careful to not take him around sick people and to make sure to clean and sterilize his toys and such. Have you consulted his doctor to make sure something more serious isn't going on?

Hello! I'm trying to help someone remember a medication, and can't find anything close to it's description. I was told that it is a bright light blue (aqua?) liquid, possibly in a clear bottle, and it tasted a lot like Turpin hydrate. It was given to her for anxiety, but we don't know exactly what it was, or way it was meant for. She was given it in the 1950's, if that helps. If anyone can remember what it is, she would appreciate it. ## Hi Christine, Unfortunately, I'm also having trouble finding information about this mystery medication; but I did read that Terpin Hydrate +Codeine has been used for anxiety even though it is primarily used as an expectorant and cough suppressant. Maybe in the 1950's it was used more for anxiety? I wish I knew more, but I hop...

this is a prescription I once had. Clear yellow capulse. ## That tells us nothing. Need to know more information, are there any markings on them? ## There are no markings on the small capsule I described for Cough. It worked fantastic. The Dr. who prescribed has died. No one else seems to know what it could be. ## Actually, I think I do know, it is a small, orange or brownish colored gel capsule thing, very tiny with liquid inside. My husband had them awhile ago, it is actually a type of anesthetic that works by numbing to supress your cough. I am hunting for my bottle for the name, as soon as I find it, I will post the name. There is a marking on these, however, it is too tiny to see without a magnifying glass. I remember when my husband got his, and I looked it up for side-effects, I ...

Hi doc, my baby she is 1 month old she has a dry cough, i took her to a clinic they only gave her parcetamol, not anti biotics or powder for suspension, should i buy it ## Hi Nokuzola, Based on my research, newborns 2 months or older can safely be given Paracetamol (also know as Acetaminophen) as long as the dose is correctly measured based on the newborn's body weight. If your doctor said it was ok to give your 1 month old Paracetamol/Acetaminophen, just be sure to confirm that the dosage is right so no problems occur. You can learn more about this drug on the page for Acetaminophen Details I hope this info helps! ## May 3weeks old baby ko nag ipot ipot PO cxa Anu PO kayang gamot para SA kanya

Rcc/gpe is marked on this white oblong pill. I want to know what kind of pill this is ## After some research, this description was not coming up under any of the U.S. prescription medications. The next guess, therefore, was that it is some sort of over-the-counter product. Additional research suggests that this is an OTC tablet called 'One Tab™' for congestion and cough made by Reese Pharmaceutical Company (hence the RCC in the imprint) - containing Guaifenesin 400 mg and Phenylephrine HCI 10 mg (which could relate to the GPE in the imprint).
