ANY SIDE AFFECT ## After gathering information on Cardace, I found that may be linked to Ramipril, and could possibly be one in the same pill; for its uses for treating hypertension, congestive heart failure, prevention of myocardial infarction, stroke, and cardiovascular death in patients over age 55. The following are side effects of Ramipril; as I believe Ramipril is the generic name for Cardace: A possible swelling of the mouth, tongue, or throat. A low blood sugar level in patients taking other medicine for diabetes which physically shows as sweating or shakiness. I am 55 year old woman. I have been taking Cardace 2.5 mg for the past 1 year. I get severe coughing bouts 4 to 5 times a day and then it stops. Has anyone observed such a side effect of Cardace? ## Which one are you taking, Cardace or Cardace-H? They both contain Ramipril, but the Cardace-H also includes Hydrochlorothiazide and, if this is the one you're taking, then the coughing might be due to some dehydration occurring from the Hydrochlorothiazide. I had open heart surgery in 2006 and taking Carca 6.25 morning & Night, Clavix As75 afternoon and Lipicure-20 mg, Cardace 10 mg in the night. Now I am given TAZLOC -40. Telmisartan tablets IP 40 mg instead of Cardace-10 mg to avoid cough at times. ## Hello, Thiyagarajan! How are you doing? It is most likely due to the Cardace, this class of medications is well known for causing such side effects and, once they start, they don't usually go away, so you may need to see your doctor about trying a different medication, as reported by the NIH. Other side effects may include nausea, headache and increased urination. Is there anything else I can help with?

Do any of the following drugs have cough as a side affect: Premarin, Nexium, Detrol LA, or Alendronate? ## My doctor priscribed Ramistar 2.5, Cardace-5 and Telma-40 for my BP in the range of 140/100 to 160/110. All these 3 drugs showed the side effect of dry cough. Hence, now I have been advised to take Amlong-2.5 for High BP. Please inform me why there is a dry cough and which is the best medicine for my BP with less side effects specificaly dry cough. ## my mom takes TELDAY H for bp but for the past six months has developed coughing, no amoutte of medication has helped

I've been taking telma 20 for my blood pressure. Please post the symptoms of an allergic reaction to this tablet. I am suffering from cough since 3 months due to this tablet.
