COSTCO BUYERS beware. It is cheaper because of where they purchase the generic suboxone from. It is being manufactured in a third world country. Pharm co. covers this, there is a real quality difference. Ask your pharmacist where the medication is manufactured. That's the reason for low cost, low quality. ## Hello, Subhuman! How are you? Regardless of where it is manufactured, if it is approved to be available in the U.S. by FDA, then it must be the same quality and efficacy guides as all other generics. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## With all do respect you're very wrong. The difference in generic me...

I take 2 subs a day. I just left the pharmacy and the total price for 60 at walgreens is $613.99. I have a suboxone coupon you can get off the suboxone website. It brought it down to $396.00. I do not have insurance either. What worries me about getting generic is will it cost more since there is no coupon for it as far as I know???... ## Prices for many medications have gotten totally outrageous. You could just ask the pharmacy to compare the prices for you, they shouldn't have a problem doing so. Prices can also vary widely from one pharmacy to the other, so you should check different pharmacies in your area. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. Have ...

Just called Cosco pharmacy and the price of a 30 tabs is $99.50.You do not have to be a cosco member to use the pharmacy. ## @RIlley, Thanks for sharing the good news! I've always thought that you had to have a membership to even walk in there. Do you find that $99 is a good price for 30 tabs compared to Walgreens, CVS, and other brig chain pharmacies? Generally Costco members get some sort of discount, but I'm curious to know if pharmacy patients reap any additional benefits as well for using their services. ## I'm wanting to warn you to be careful, find out who is manufacturer of the generic, I've been seeing bad things about Costco getting from 3rd world co. Etc.. Ask your pharmacist who's making what they're carrying

I was wondering if anyone could give me the pricing on the new generic suboxone. I have blue cross blue shield and i take the 8mg tablets. I get a script of 30 a month and i pay $110 dollars for 30 of the brand name. I am getting my script filled on thursday and wnated to know if i could save any money by going with the generic. ## Unfortunately, there are no universal cost guidelines for prescription drugs, it can vary from area to area and from pharmacy to pharmacy. Thus, the best thing you can do is to contact your pharmacy and ask them. There have been a few people that said some generics ended up costing them more, while others said it was about the same price, so it's very hard to say. Learn more Suboxone details here. Simple question needed here: How much does either generic Suboxone cost without insurance... Brand name is about $400+ a month. Please advise, anyone who had purchases these new generics W/O insurance. Thanks! ## @RealityVeil, It's always going to depend on the quantity of pills you receive, but from what I've read on a number of sites, 30 sublingual tablets of the generic version can cost about $200-300+ cash at places like CVS or RiteAid. I'd also keep in mind that are coupons out there (such as this one: Rx Savings Card) which can save you up to 15-75% off your Rx, potentially cutting the cost in half. You don't need insurance to use these discount cards, so it's pretty much a win win if you're trying to save money. I hope this helps!

what is the price on the new generic suboxone sl 8 mg /2 mg per tablet? As I don't have insurance & have to buy them separate or a few at a time. ## This website does not manufacture, prescribe nor sell any medications, it is an information only website. That said, the price will vary from area to area, from pharmacy to pharmacy and according to how many you are buying. In most cases it is cheaper to buy a month's worth, as the individual price goes up if you buy lower amounts. Learn more Suboxone details here. Have you asked your local pharmacies for price quotes? ## In regards to people asking about generic Suboxone (buprenorphine/naloxone). It seems that the tablets cost more than the name brand strips. Even the generics, appear to cost slightly more than the name brand s...

I am 45 years old and on disability. My medicare prescription insurance does not cover generic Suboxone tablets. I just started treatment. I will be taking a quantity of 90 of the 8.2 generic Suboxone tablets. The cheapest cash price I have been able to find is $132 a month. The monthly doctors visit costs $150. I simply can't afford treatment at that price. I would appreciate any coupons that will help lower my monthly prescription costs. ## Hello Tim, Sorry to hear that this unfortunate situation has come upon you. Hopefully I can shed some light on the situation here. There are PAP (prescription assistance programs) for nearly all medications so long as you qualify for them. I wason the AN 415 orange generic suboxone tablets and for no reason at all other than to cut their ordering costs Rite Aide just switched to the 93/5721 generic suboxone tablets they are no where near as good I have diarrhea, nausea, irritability and high blood pressure after switching to the Teva brand. The pharmacy swears the tablets are the same milligrams and same active ingredients, but I highly disagree. I was slowly tapering down on the orange AN 415 but since being put on these I can't do that any longer. I usually don't complain when insurance was covering it but I am disabled and only get $630 a month since I'm paying $301 out of pocket for them each month I expect the best. ## Wow! hello all. thanks ahead of time for the.help. let me begin by saying that i am in recovery from opiate addiction. i realize that there is a bad stigma out there about these programs, but if you have the desire to get clean they really work. i have been on suboxone for a couple months and have been completely devout to the program, havent messed up once. my insurance ran out last.month, and the cost of my monthly perscription is now over $650 for two tabs a day. i have heard that subutex is significantly cheaper, and the current cost of my perscription is entirely undoable. can anyone tell me if i would save money by switching to generic subutex paying out of pocket? ## Hello, Based on my research, the difference in price between Suboxone and Subutex is pretty large. Does the Company Actavis Elizabeth LLC offer any discounts or copay like the brand name Suboxon strips do?. I ask b/c the new white sublingual (half moon 155) pill, still cost more than the name brand sublingual films do. I cant use my $50 copay i use on the suboxone film. it comes out to be $130 more a month for this generic. Please Help if u know. have no insurance! ## No, such assistance things aren't generally offered for generic medications, except in the case of some that are considered to be life sustaining. Normally, generics are cheaper, just by the nature of being generic. However, if the price is cheaper for you when getting the name brand, you may want to ask your doctor if they can write 'brand medically necessary' on the prescription, so your pharmacy has to gi...

I s suboxone really going to be availalbe in generic? I heard thaat the company's patent runs out in October. Has anyone learned of a cheaper way to pay for it ? ## I never heard of such a thing it coming in generic form i dont even think that is possible where you hear that ## Suboxone, which contains the opiate Buprenorphine and the agonist Naloxone is commonly used to treat drug addiction and severe, chronic pain. That said, NO, this drug was just approved and placed on the market in 2002, in the US, a proprietary drug patent lasts for 10 years, plus they can get several extensions, so this one has several years to go yet, before any generics will be able to come on to the market. Even then, since this medication is VERY highly regulated, it is likely that it could result in some...

If you use Suboxone to get off Methadone or any other opiate, you will be trading one addition for another. Suboxone is extremely difficult to withdraw from, google it prior to using it for anything. It causes weight gain, in 5 years I have gained 50 lbs and I am very active, working out does not help to lose the weight, this drug is dangerous, my heart blew a valve, Sick Sinus Syndrome, not good, look it up, my cardiologist said Suboxone caused it. Once again, depending on how long you are on Suboxone, the withdrawal symptoms are horrific and it could take years for you to wean off of it. Additionally if you do not have insurance the cost from a pharmacy for strips are $8 per strip, pills are generic and just under $4. The only way to get off of it is to taper down and it is not easy t...

How much does generic suboxone cost compared to real thing ## Prices are actually going to vary according to a number of different factors including: location, quantity, dosage, dosage form (i.e. sublingual, film, or vial), etc. However as a rough estimate, based on what I've seen online, suboxone can be up to a couple hundred more or less depending on whether or not you get the generic vs the brand name. Definitely a significant difference in price, but I believe many would argue that you do get what you pay for in the price difference. Everyone may react/respond differently though, so I would just be open to generic options if you've had luck with them in the past. I hope this helps!
