I take Co-codamol for arthritis 30/500 and Gabapentin 300mg. Is it safe to also take a low dose of Tramadol as well? I also have gout. Are there any contraindications? ## The Co Codamol contains Codeine with Acetaminophen, so no it shouldn't be taken with the Tramadol, since it and the Codeine are both opiates. The FDA warns that these medications carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. Have they all been prescribed for you?
