My thirteen year old son(140 lbs) had a strong bacterial infection involving his salivary glands. His face was very swollen. In order to avoid hospitalization(IV), the doctor prescribed avalox. He is an integral part of 2 teams, but we obviously do not want to compromise his health. ## I suggest speaking to his doctor about this, that way you will get advice on the safest time frame. ## i am a 57 y/o female with polycyctic kidney disease post transplant jul 5 2000 and i have been on predisone ever since. I ordered arthri-d one day and tried to cancel the next. The company's customer service department will not answer. 7 times now I have called. This will go to my bank to be removed as soon as they send the order. My word of advice is don't buy unless you know all.

As a victim of refractory depression I have only found one medication that worked, EMSAM, unfortunately I am allergic to acrylic adhesives. Has anyone found a way to get around the contact dermatitis the EMSAM acrylic matrix can cause? ## Hi Keller, While I may not have personal experience with EMSAM, I did want to suggest trying some sort of topical anti-inflammatory compound to help combat any dermatitis that might occur after applying the adhesive. A couple alternative remedies that you might want to look into are: lavender essential oil (can help reduce redness, anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, and more) topical ointments that contain cayenne pepper (for its great anti-inflammatory benefits) There are a plethora of other essential oils that offer similar benefits as well. I hope t...

I have been taking suboxone for 2 years. Out of nowhere I just recently (2 weeks) developed what appears to be contact dermatitis. It started as a single red itchy spot and has spread ferociously over the last 2 weeks. Nothing has changed dosage wise. I also took in two foster kittens but the first red spot occurred before the kittens came and I have owned cats my entire life. Is it possible to develop an allergy to suboxone at random? There is no other side effects, no swelling of face or tongue no nausea or dizziness. The dermatitis (we'll call it) is only on my torso and arms. I just need to know if it's even possible to develop an allergy to this after being on it for so long? It doesn't make sense. Please help! ## Hello, James! How are you? I'm sorry about the probl...

I have been taking generic Venlafaxine from Tega Pharma for the past 5 years and have had no issues. My pharmacy is now using the Aurbino manufactured version. I had an extream adverse reaction and nearly ended up in the ED. I was basically going through withdrawal. I reported the event to both the drug company and FDA. Please report any issues you are having to the FDA. I found a pharmacy that had the Tega brand and I was back to normal within a day. Something is seriously wrong with the Venlafaxine Aurobino is producing. Please report your issues so the FDA can take action. ## I am currently going through this same issue. Did you contact your prescribing doctor? ## I've been taking ZA-36 XR for a week and just stared experiencing withdraw symptoms. It's good to know I'm no...

Does contact dermatitis ever go away completely. I have used the .05 percent cream. It subsided while I was using it but came right back even after a refill tube. Is the next step to use the .12 percent cream ## Hi, Linda! Sorry about the problem that you're having. I get it too, so I know it can be quite annoying. Contact dermatitis is actually caused by an allergic reaction to something, so they only way to get it to go away permanently would be to discover what substance or substances are causing the allergic reaction and avoid them in the future. Have you visited an allergist/immunologist? They can usually test you for various substances that you may commonly be exposed to in order to figure out what the triggers may be.

Contacted by local sheriff to help ID the medication. It is a white capsule with beige stripe on parting seam, was found at a crime scene. ## G651: white capsule, beige band aorund middle, black imprint G651: This may well be Rite Aid brand Natural Psyllium Fiber Laxative Plus Calcium. If so, the only directly lethal effect apparent--according to label-- might be from Choking: Taking this product without adequate amount of liquid may cause it to swell and block your throat or esophagus and may cause choking. It can also cause allergic reactions in some, and may interfere with how some other meds work, especially if taken less than 2 hours before or after time of those meds--again according to the label.

I contacted the pharmacy that I have used for tramadol the last year or so to see if they were still offering tramadol. I was told they would ship me the same med for the same price but it would now be labeled as gabapentin instead. Has anyone else come across this and actually recieved tramadol? I've been with this pharmacy for awhile but I don't know if it's dependable with the changes last month. What does everyone think? ## Hi Missy, As far as the pharmacy labeling Tramadol as Gabapentin, there's no logical reason for them to do that unless they're trying to hide something. I mean, why not just leave it blank or write Tramadol on the bottle instead of putting a misleading label on it, ya know? I'm assuming that you're not ordering your meds legally with a...
