I live in Virginia and desperately need to find a pain management doctor who will treat stomach pain from Crohn's disease. I've contacted numerous doctors in the area to no avail. It's a rare type of pain to treat, but I need pain meds beyond Cymbalta and Neurontin which I'm already on. I'll gladly travel and at this point it doesn't matter if it's covered by my insurance. I really need help finding a doctor to help with my pain.

Can Trazadone be used to treat a chronic cough like amitriptyline? ## Based on my research Trazodone is indicated for: Clinical depression with or without anxiety. Insomnia, Fibromyalgia, to aid in sleeping. Control of nightmares or other sleep disturbances. Amitriptyline can also be used as a sleeping aid in small doses. I did not know either of them had an off label use for chronic cough? correct me if I'm wrong, but I personally haven't seen anything stating otherwise. That said, I don't think it is specifically indicated to help with coughing; but if you personally find that it has been working for you then I'd advise you to contact your doctor who prescribed it, to give you the OK to continue using it for that. To view detailed information about Trazodone, please cl...

I live in south Louisiana and I am looking for a good pain management physician, someone who will prescribe pain medication. I have neuropathy, auto-immune disease, fibromyligia, arthritis, to name a few. I would prefer the Lafayette area. Thank you for your help in any way. ## Put Pain Management Doctors and your city and state in google and the names of the drs in your area will come up. You can also go to websites like Healthgrades and Vitals to find the name of pain management drs in your area and things like the education and training of the dr. No one can tell you what a dr will and won't prescribe for anyone. If you have insurance, contact your insurance company and ask for pain management drs in your area that accept your insurance. I have rsd/crps, my pain management physician is moving, my disease involves bilateral hands and feet, my right shoulder is bone on bone and is not repairable, i need to find a pain management physician in the kansas city or springfield mo area that utilizes a written contract for narcotic pain management ## Hello, Kay! How are you? Just a warning: If you contact places and ask them about prescribing narcotics, before you're a patient, most will view that as being drug seeking behavior and won't even let you get in the door. So, if you do get a good recommendation, you'll want to wait, until you are at an appointment with them, to discuss your treatment options. I'm not saying you're doing this, I'm just letting you know, in case. And with any doctor, there's...

I need help finding a pain clinic in Puerto Rico. I broke my ribs and I can't find one. I like opana because I've been on it before and it helps a lot with my degenerated discs. ## The FDA warns the Opana is an opiate narcotic, so it carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as dizziness, dry mouth, constipation, headache, and nausea. The main question, however, is are you asking them if they will prescribe this specific medication, when you contact them? If so, many doctors will view that as being drug seeking behavior, and will just tell you that they don't prescribe it. The best thing to do is to make sure that a new doctor gets a full copy of your medical records, and let them prescribe or suggest treatments, according, going by what other...

My mother and I just moved to New Orleans. I cannot believe the difficulty this town is putting g her through, first, to even get in to see a doctor, and then, one that will write her a pain medicine prescription that lasts more than a week and/or a Pain Management doctor that will accept her as a client. She is now in a struggle with the brand new, shiny and huge(privately owned) hospital downtown. The doctor she finally got..she is on disability, under United Healthcare...gave her a small script, then a very short list of PM doctors, some of whom turn out to not accept that insurance, who told her that if she could not find one, to just contact him and he would give her another script. Then he left town. Apparently, no one could communicate this, just keep telling her he was being giv...

I have been prescribed Norco 10/325 for my pain management by my doctor for about a year. I was recently in a car accident and hospitalized for 2 days. The doctor in charge increased my dosage on my discharge papers to 2 pills every 6 hours as needed for pain, telling me to use my current meds instead of giving me a new script. I contacted my doctor, (and faxed her my discharge orders) knowing this would make me run out before an authorized refill. She wrote a new script for the same meds, and contacted my pharmacy for approval. My insurance obviously wouldn't cover the same script early, so she wrote a new script for oxycodone 10/325...these are too strong, or something in them makes me extremely nauseous. The Pharmacy still had my script for hydro on file (the one the insurance wo...

DESPERATELY SEEKING PAIN MANAGEMENT DR/CLINIC THAT IS WILLING TO CONTINUE MY TREATMENT FOR ARTHRITIC KNEES WITH MORPHINE.
