What's the connection between metoprolol tartrate and depression? I'm on 50mg tablets twice a day and by the end of the day I'm ready to cry for no reason. I used to take 12.5mg but wasn't doing its job of lowering my BP. So the doc put me on a higher dosage. ## Yes, it has been known to cause depression in 2 to 5% of the people that took it during clinical trials. Learn more Metoprolol details here. Have you discussed it with your doctor? It's most likely just not the right medication for you to take and you'll need to try something else. ## Thanks for your reply back. I appreciate that. No I haven't discussed it with my endocrinologist yet but I will as soon as I get an appointment with him which I don't know when. By the way are you a doctor?

What is Mixed Connective Tissue Disease? What medications are prescribed for it? Could this be the cause of severe low back pain? My Dr. doesn't believe in fibromyalgia but I have been diagnosed with this going on 12 years. I am taking Cymbalta, and Ultram for the fibromyalgia. My Dr. prescribed plaquenil but honestly I cannot tell I am taking anything. And since he prescribed the plaquenil he cut my dosage of Ultram from 100mg 4 times a day to 3 times a day. I quit taking the plaquenil because it keeps me awake at night, even though I take trazadone and clorazapam for sleep. I have had to add 2 benedryl with that to stay asleep. Can anyone offer me some advise? ## It's also called Sharp's Syndrome, it's an autoimmune disease. The prognosis usually isn't good for lon...

Hi Everyone... Has anyone experienced depression while on 75mg of Clopidogrel daily? Does anyone know, if there are any cardiac meds that do not cause or exacerbate depression? ## Yes, the FDA does list depression as being a possible side effect of Clopidogrel, along with nausea, headache, easy bruising, and increased risk of bleeding. Ref: Clopidogrel Information Is this the only medication you are currently taking? What condition is being treated with it? I'm sorry, but it is impossible to research alternative medications for you, without some additional information.

It fell out of a cabinet at my grandparents house and I've never seen it before? nothing on back side. Just one side with the hourglass shape. ## The hourglass logo is used by Ivax Pharmaceuticals, however, I am not aware of any that don't have any additional markings, such as numbers on them. Did you try asking your grandparents about it? I'll keep looking and post back, when I have information for you. Does anyone else recognize this tablet? ## Welll that's the thing. At the moment, my grandparents and I aren't on the best of terms, so if I were to walk up with a mysterious pill.. probably wouldn't work out so well.

The B is slanted arrow shaped with 3 long lines an 2 short coming off the B. It's white an the size of 512 Percocet. Nothing on other side. The 7 or backwards L is fat letter or fat 7 like the b is standing on the l or 7. The B would be laying down an other standing up under B.

I'm looking for a private doctor to get back on my meds, adderall xr, klonopin, and subutex. Since this is a weird combo most doctors don't want to prescribe mymeds any more. My doc retired and the other moved. For like 4 years I have been looking for a doctor with no luck. If anyone has a good doctor that will prescribe my meds for me again please let me know I can't keep borrowing them from my mom or friend. I am a 28 year old female with three children . I need my meds!! ## Hello, Jess! How are you doing? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having. Due to the new regulations that were set forth by the DEA last year, you'll need to see specialists to have such medications prescribed, now. And if you were taking the Subutex for addiction treatment, it's ...

I'm unsure of the origin of my rash and hives. I'm at the end of week 3 of contrave. About 10 days ago, I fell on the basketball court and broke my foot and tore ligaments. I have an aspirin allergy (hives), so the ER doc was hesitant to prescribe 500 mg aleve, but I've taken OTC aleve and had no problems. Day 2 I broke out in a neck to ankle rash. I stopped the Aleve. Day 3 it was swollen and itchy. For a week I used Rx steroid ointment to get rid of the rash. Finally mostly went away. Didn't use the ointment for one day and I broke out with huge hives. Large 6" welts are all over me and much worse than the original rash. I can't imagine it's leftover from the aleve since it's a week later. I upped to 3 Contrave when I got the rash (but also started taki...

Need reliable doctor that will write me my usual script ofhydrocodone30mg 4x daily. had reconstructive surgery on right leg, with hardware running through the knee down into the ankle. I live a very physical life style and now due to recent events I'm no longer getting my meds making life miserable, painful, and the list goes on. I need assistance ASAP please! Thank you. ## Near Bridgeport, CT ## I'm sorry, but there is no listing of doctors according to what they will or will not prescribe that I can refer to for you. That said, due to the new regulations that were put in place this year, if you require such a medication for the treatment of chronic pain on a long-term, ongoing basis, you'll need to see a pain management specialist. Capsule, white in color with AK60 on top half in blue letters. 3 blue non connecting blue stripes on the bottom half. Was given for a prescription of Inderal LA 60mg. ## This capsule is manufactured by Wyeth and they list it as containing 60mgs of Propranolol in an extended release formulation, so it is a generic for Inderal and is most commonly used to treat high blood pressure, and certain heart conditions. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension. Is there anything else I can help with?

does the oxy in oxybutynin relate in any way to the oxy in oxycodone? I have a strange side efftect w/oxycodone and do not want to take oxybutynin if an ingredient or processing compound is similar ## Hi jr, From what I could gather, the medical prefix "oxy" simply indicates the presence of oxygen in a compound: oxyacanthine, oxycamphor, oxyquinoline, oxycodone, etc... That seems to be the only relation to all drugs that start with "oxy". If you only had a negative reaction to oxycodone and that's it, then I wouldn't assume that all "oxy" drugs provoke the same feelings or side effects you experienced; mostly because "oxy" is not the only compound found in oxy"codone". It could just be the synthetic opiate that causes you to react a certai...

I have SLE, Mixed Connective Tissue Disease, Scleraderma, Raynauds, Achalasia, Brain Tumour, Peripheral Nueropathy and Emphysema, and now it's affecting my heart. The only pain killer I am taking is Panadol Osteo because I'm allergic to morphine, codeine etc. The docs are also passing me back and forth like a hot potato. I know my diseases make it difficult for them to deal with (no picnic for me either) and I understand that very little research has been done on one person having so many rare conditions but I just want the truth and more importantly just a sign that maybe they care.

Is it possible for predizone to cause pancreatitis? Eyedrops were used to dylate my eyes. I ended up in the hospital with pancreatitis. ## There have been very few instances where steroid medications of any type have been known to cause Pancreatitis and it is especially unlikely in an eye drop formulation, because you don't hardly absorb any of the substances in them, because the amount use is miniscule. Where you taking any other medications? Pancreatitis is much more commonly caused by nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications, such as Acetaminophen and Ibuprofen. It can also be caused by gallstones or alcoholism. I have used estring for 2 months and experienced < lower back pain/sacroiliar joint disfunction. Could there be a connection? ## Have you consulted your doctor? These effects aren't listed as known side effects, but it is always difficult to know how any medication is going to affect any given person that uses it. You're also the second person post recently about experiencing unusual side effects.

I have taken this tablet for past three months . My problem was under control by then. So I stopped eating the tablet..I already have hydroid cyst in the right lobe of the liver.I have consulted the gastroentology. The treatment for dis cyst given by the doctor was albendazole tablet for three months. Now there is no problem of the cyst. I have a doubt whether there is a connection between diarrhoea and the cyst. Again i have the diarrhoea problem. Mucus is also released now. What do I do now? Is there a permanent solution for my problem?
