What medications are oK is use when you have a pacemarker ## You should really discuss this with your doctor. There are several factors in play here that could affect whether or not any given medication is safe for you to use. For example, with active congestive heart failure, you can't use nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications, such as Ibuprofen, because they can cause more fluid retention. There are also some medications that are used to improve heart function for other conditions, but aren't safe for someone with congestive heart failure. Have you talked to your doctor about this?

Is it safe for a man with congestive heart failure to take fildena 50mg ## Hello, Cherie! How are you? It would be best to see medical advice on this matter. The active ingredient in this, Sildenafil, can cause additional lowering of the blood pressure and heart rate, so it may adversely effect someone that has CHF. It may also have interactions with any medications the person is taking. Which ones have been prescribed? Is there anything else I can help with?

My farther is 89 and already diagnosed with heart failure. Congestive Heart Failure. From my poor knowledge this might be Diastolic heart failure as he has fluid accumulation in the feet, ankles and legs. This was initially controlled by lasix,, Aldactone and angizaar/Lorsatum then the fluid was lost but legs remain with stiff muscles. Then later prednisolone was introduced and now he is too weak to walk. Is this combination of drug correct? How can we help him to relieve the problem of stiff muscles?

I have acute Sciatica & also have a heart condition. Will Coxflan relieve the Sciatica pain & will there be any problem with my heart condition? I am 71 & battling with the back & leg pain. Thanks for any help. ## Coxflam contains the active ingredient Meloxicam, which is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory and no, these are not usually given to heart patients, because of the dangers that they can present to someone that has an existing heart condition. NSAID can cause fluid retention, which can result in complications, such as congestive heart failure. In addition, congestive heart failure has been induced by large doses and long-term use of some NSAID medications. My doctor has instructed me to stay away from all of them and said the only thing I should use is Acetaminoph...

I took this in the past and recently started back up. Been on it about 5 days now and last night started experiencing heart "flutters". I have had issues with this in the past and take atenolol for that but since I started back on the phentermine, been having them again. Is this a normal reaction to phentermine? I take 30mg and take it in the morning. ## Yes, this medication is basically a stimulant, so it can cause elevated heart rate, elevated blood pressure, both of which may cause palpitations, according to FDA reports. It also carries the risk of being habit forming. If you have some type of heart issue, it may not be safe for you to take this medication. Was it prescribed by your PCP? Have you consulted a cardiologist? I have congestive heart failure and am not allowed to ...

I am 57 yr old Male, I have congestive heart failure with injection ratio of 15%. It appears that when I take hydrocodone I have more energy and less breathing problems. Has this been found to be a benificial side affect. When I dont take it I dont have the desire or energy to do anything. ## Hydrocodone is used in some prescription cough syrups, because it has been know to help with cough and congestion. Another way it may be helping is through the fact that it causes depression of the central nervous system, so it may be helping your heart by slowing it down, so it doesn't work as hard. Is your doctor aware that you are taking it? Such use should be monitored on a regular basis. And what medications do you take for your heart and the CHF? ## Yes my Cardiologist is aware of this pe...

My Farther has been diagnosed with congestive heart failure with terrible blue thick swollen legs, water sometimes leaks through the skin. Could you please let me know what it's for. ## Hello, Esta! How is your father doing? Plenish K is a potassium supplement used to prevent the potassium loss that may happen, when someone is on medications to remove excess fluid from the body. It can be dangerous, if someone's potassium drops too low, so the doctor likely prescribed this as a precautionary measure. The FDA does warn that potassium supplements can be very rough on the stomach, so h...

My mother was dx in March 2015 with congestive heart failure. She originally had a double heart valve replacement (May 2011) for her mitral and aortic valves. It seemed ever since she was sick (before the endocarditis dx) that her immune system was compromised greatly. My mom was taken to a regular dr appt. August 6th and my dad and her found out coumadin levels were off the charts. They rushed my mom to the hospital 25 miles away and immediately put her on the Medical ICU floor. When they came into her room to start running diagnostics and everything one of the infectious disease doctors told my dad and I that Metformin has been known to cause death. Simdax Levosimendan

Levosimendan (INN) /livosamndn/ is a calcium sensitizer used in the management of acutely decompensated congestive heart failure. It is marketed under the trade name Simdax (Orion Corporation). Overall the drug has a two fold mechanism of action.
