I would sincerely appreciate your help as I have visited my Doctor several times and now will need a bronchoscopy which I want to avoid if possible. Thank you very much ## Concor contains the active ingredient Bisoprolol, which is a beta blocker and it is most likely the culprit for the symptoms you're experiencing. I am a HCM patient with irregular heart beat, age 43Ys, M. I had taken amidarone 200mg (1+0+0) with Concor 5mg for 3ys. 6month ago Amio was stopped due to side effects. My thyroid function test was not normal. It was hyper (TSH=0). After stopping Amiodarone I hve been taking Concor 5mg twice a day (5mg+0+5mg). Irregular heart beat was more or less there with a tollerance level, also my doctor told that recent Holter report/ECG doesn't show any dangerous types of irregulat beats. Recently my Thyroid test is normal (TSH=3.71) though I didn't take any med for this as suggested by my Doc. Now he wants to go back again with Amiodarone200mg once daily +Conconr 5mg once daily, and asked my opinion abt this. Is it ok to go back again with Amidarone? I would like to know if taking Energa can trigger any side effects, knowing that I had an open heart surgery since 9 years and taking :Lipitor 10 + concor 5 +tritace2.5 +aspicot+omnic 0.4 Best Regards ## Are you referring to Energa that's said to help with erectile dysfunction in men? If so, it is not a drug, it is an herbal supplement and yes, even some of the natural herbal products can cause problems if you're a heart patient, because they may act as stimulants. Learn more herbalism details here. Some of them can be just as dangerous as drugs. Thus, I can only advise you to consult your doctor, before using it, so they can look over the ingredients and see if it is safe. Are there any other questions or comments? ## A related discussion thread Energa lists the ingredients as:...

I have recentl;y undergone by-pass heart surgery and presently I am on 2.5 Concur - morning and night medication for control of my BP. Please let me know the side effects of concur on my other organs and what further medications/steps necessary to counter those side effects? ## HI, Sumant! Concor contains the active ingredient Bisoprolol, which is a beta blocker that's used to treat high blood pressure and certain cardiac conditions. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache and hypotension. Learn more Concor details here. As to the effects on your organs, the risks are far greater if you let your blood pressure soar high and be untreated, than if you take this medication as instructed by your doctor. Ctd 12.5 is prescribed by my doctor. I have been taking this medicine for the last fifteen days. I feel lightheaded or sometimes heaviness in my head & sometime weakness in my body. Although with this medicine my BP remains in control. Also, concor 2.5 and s-numlo 2.5 in the evening is prescribed. How can i overcome these difficulties? ## These can be typical side effects of such medications, you may also experience nausea, headache, increased urination, and hypotension. However, they should go away, with time, once your body gets used to the medication, but that could take 5 to 5 weeks. Has there been any change?

I am running 42 of age and have been a patient of hypertension. I have been taking tab Concor 2.5 mg on morning daily basis for last 12 years. Dr prescribed one at night for peacful sleep and to avoid wrong thoughts. i am having high blood pressure and taking REPACE AF in the morning and concore 5 in the evening. Please advise. ## @Pritesh, From what I could gather, high blood pressure in and of itself is not specifically listed as a side effect of Clonotril (clonazepam). In fact, low blood pressure is what's actually recognized as being a rare side effect according to the following drug monograph by: stanford.edu/medications/clonazepam.html. However I do see a number of different symptoms listed on there that IMHO could provoke increases in one's blood pressure (such as agitation, nervousness, anxiety, as well as a few others). Is your Dr. also aware of this problem?

i have 2.5 mg concor and my doctor tell me to stop concor and change to olmesrtan 40mg Can i stop concor suddenly and use olmesrtan instead of concor or stopping of concor need with drawing? ## Hi, if your doctor has instructed you to just make the switch, there shouldn't be any problem. But feel free to double check with them to be certain. The problems, such as the rebound effects, usually occur when someone just stops such medications abruptly and isn't taking anything else to help control their medical condition. Olmesartan may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and stomach pain. Learn more Olmesartan details here.
