I use concor 5mg & Hexal lisinopril 10mg for hipertention but my hart rate is high 130+ ## What have your blood pressure readings been? Have they done any tests of your cardiac function? While most doctors will tell you that the lower your blood pressure the better, this is a little misleading, because there are points where it can be too low. If this occurs, it will cause your heart rate to accelerate, because your heart has to work harder to compensate for the decreased blood flow. Concor contains the active ingredient Bisoprolol, which is a beta blocker, it is used to treat hypertension and heart conditions. Lisinopril is an ACE inhibitor that is used to treat similar conditions.

I have been taking concur 5 mg for the past 8 years due to having fast heart beat. For a month I started to drink 3 cups of coffee and smoking 2 small cigars all that in the evening during 3 hours time. I felt my heart beats are getting to be high then I started taking 10 mg every day. I stopes the habit of taking too much coffee and smoking at the same time then I also stopped taking 10 mg and went back to 5 mg. But since one week now my BP is getting too high above 145/85. Hello There, Would appreciate if anyone could please answer my question whether my Mom who is 64 years of age now needs to take Concor 1.25 mg once a day at all please. Truth of the matter is that her heart rate is way too low as a result - it`s only about 40 per /minute and blood pressure is about 100-120/50-60. Cardiologist doesn't seem to believe that heart rate is that low and keeps prescribing it. She was prescribed 2.5 mg per day and had a heart rate of 30 per / minute so had to decrease it to 1.25 mg and now it`s about 40-50. I wonder if she should be taking that particular medication at ALL giving the fact of such a low heart rate. She doesn't feel well which is quite obvious isn't it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Many Thanks in advance. Best Regards...
