My family Dr. like many others no longer prescribe pain meds for chronic ,long term patients. as a result of a bad car accident I have a broken back in two places a replaced shoulder and ruined hips. I don't like going to the pain clinics but will if that's the only way to get relief. Ide rather find a family/general practitioner who I can stay with.. Thanks for any suggestions for a understanding Doctor. ## PCPs can no longer prescribe such medications on a long-term ongoing basis, thus a pain management specialist is your only option.
