I would like to know what the clear form of codeine liquid is used for and how many milligrams it is? ## If it is a cough syrup, then that is what it would be used for, to help prevent coughing, however, I cannot tell you anything from just the color. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. However, it should be noted that there is also a liquid that just contains Codeine, without other active ingredients, which is used to treat pain. Is there anything else I can help with?

does 383 amgenal (allerfrim with Codeine liquid) become dangerous when old ? If a prescription is 10 years old, no expiration on bottle, and it is starting to crystalize, may it be taken? Not concerned if ineffective - am concerned with possible liver or other damage. thanks! ## Since it is likely completely broken down, as it is in such a state and will have no effectiveness, what would be the point in taking it? Any medication that is that old should just be properly disposed of, if you do not know how to do so, please consult a nearby pharmacy.

IS IT SAFE TO INGEST APAP/CODEINE300-30MGTAB AFTER TEN YEARS ON THE SHELF? ## They don't get dangerous, after the expiration, but they do start to lose effectiveness, so being that old, it is highly doubtful that they will work very well for pain. If they were in an original factory sealed bottle, they are usually good for about 3 years or so and in a pharmacy bottle, they are only good for a year, after you purchase them, because that is when they are exposed to heat and light. Storage can also have an effect, if they have been kept somewhere warm and moist, then they will degrade much faster. I took twice the dose of this and I got no relief from my coughing and chest congestion. Hello! I'm trying to help someone remember a medication, and can't find anything close to it's description. I was told that it is a bright light blue (aqua?) liquid, possibly in a clear bottle, and it tasted a lot like Turpin hydrate. It was given to her for anxiety, but we don't know exactly what it was, or way it was meant for. She was given it in the 1950's, if that helps. I'm 5'5, weigh 100 pounds and i took 30 mg of hydrocodone syrup. Is that a lethal dose for me? I really need to know. I feel really drowsy right now and sleepy. CAN I TAKE METHOCARBAMOL WITH THIS COUGH MEDICINE? ## Based on my research there are drug interactions found between Methocarbamol and the Codeine inside of Iophen-C NR (codeine + guaifenesin). Information I was able to gather states the following, regarding this interaction: "Central nervous system and/or respiratory depressant effects may be additively or synergistically increased in patients taking multiple drugs that cause these effects, especially in elderly or debilitated patients." My son is 11 months old and had surgery and was prescribed hydro/APAP for his pain. It is 7.5/325 in 15ml. The pharmacy calls it Tylenol 4. Hi, my name is Rebecca & I currently take hydrocodone 5/325mg tablets q6hrs for pain. I get 60 & I have refills so I can refill them as needed every 15 days. I was released from the hospital on Sunday w/pleurisy of the lungs due to my lupus.
