Have a tube of Clotrimazole Beta. Dipro. cream, 1%. Don't know how long I've had it and can't interpret date code on end of tube. It is 669K 00T12 -- please tell me what the expiration date is. ## Look at the metal end of the tube and you will see the expiration date. You may need a magnifier. It is etched. ## Bob, can you see the manufacturer name on there anywhere? If so let me know, maybe it would be possible to contact them with that lot # and they could know the date based on that? And Jasmine's suggestion is probably right too, any luck with that? Interested to know either way. ## I posted the "Exp. date" etched on the end of the tube. But it's not a date! I have been using Clotrimazole betamethazone for 2 weeks for vaginal topical yeast infection. I now have small white pimple bumps and it doesn't seem that the cream has helped at all. Called my Dr., he said it sounds like it's healing up. Is this normal for this cream or should I get a new Dr.? ## The betamethasone is a steroid that can cause acne/pimples as a side effect, as well as skin redness, flaking, and irritation, according to FDA reports. How are you doing, now? Has there been any change? Are you on any other medications? ## Thanks for the info. I have gone to my regular Dr. who tested for everything, and found nothing. She thinks the steroid was not necessary to begin with since I had never had any issues before this. I feel the steroid did more harm than good. I'm... ...

Why can't patients under 17 use it? What harm could a topical steroid really cause? ## Hello, Mygirlz! How are you? There are actually several reasons and they vary by the age of the pediatric patient. For instance, in children under 12, there have been cases where they absorbed too much of it, due to their smaller body mass to skin ratio and suffered dangerous toxicity, this may also apply to those from 13 to 17. And for children from 13 to 17, there have been instances of adrenal suppression from its use. And all children from 12 to 17 risk developing Cushing's Syndrome from using it. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Is growth a concern in children under 12? My son had a bad rash and was given Triamcinolone Acetone Cream USP 0.1% 30 g. Can I drink alcholic beverages on this once I've started application on affected area ## Yes. It's only an anti-fungal and steroid. Alcohol will have no interaction with that cream. ## What has your doctor, or pharmacist advised? I wouldn't agree and say there would be no effect, because your body does absorb some of the medications, it's just that the effects would be very slight, as compared to medications that you take orally and absorb much more of in your body. Another issue may result from the fact that the alcohol can thin your blood and affect your circulation, it may result in your absorbing more of it, than normal. ...
