Ihad my angioplasty done on 1st Aug 2011. I have been taking plavix 75mg for the past 2 weeks. This medicine is very costly 14 tablets costa around Rs1500/-around 30 dollars.I am from India. Can I replace this with Clopilet A 150 which also contains the same active ingrdinet clopidogrel anti coagulating agent pl advice I cant afford this medicine. ## Actually, Clopilet-A contains Clopidogrel and Aspirin, so I wouldn't advise switching to it, without your doctors approval. The regular Clopilet would be the equivalent medication that just contains Clopidogrel and, in that case, there should be no harm in switching, as long as you are taking the correct dosage. Are there any other questions or comments? ## Thank you sir for your reply Regards P.R.Narayanaswami ## I was takken off lipit...

I have undergone a procedure for an 80% blockage in the left anterior descending (LAD) coronary artery, and I am currently taking Statin 40mg and Clopilet A 75mg daily. I am 51 years old and experiencing irregular menstrual cycles with heavy bleeding. Could these symptoms be side effects of the medication I am taking? ## It is most likely due to the hormonal imbalances that occur with perimenopause, which are the years leading up to actual menopause. Have you consulted your doctor? They can do blood work to check and see if that is the case. But this type of thing does normally occur for awhile, before a woman actually hits menopause, then becomes post-menopausal. At this time, you usually stop ovulating, so you aren't producing as much progesterone as you used to, but you still pro...

Most heart patients take medications like this, daily, to keep their condition under control and reduce their future risk. Ecosprin contains the active ingredient Aspirin and, in such cases, it is used for its blood thinning properties. Feel very weak in the evening find difficult to walk and have breathing problem after taking ecosprin150 at 1 pm I am also taking Sompraz 40 one 7 AM and 7 PM o clock for last one year. I am also taking clopilet 75 one at 9 AM and one at 9 Pm. What could be reason for my weakness. Is it necessary to continue Sompraz 40 in the long term ## Actually, Sompraz is only meant to be taken for short periods of time, usually only up to 4 months, because long-term use of it can increased your risk of hip fractures, as reported by the FDA. As to the other issues, that can be typical side effects of the Clopilet, according to the NIH, so you should consult your doctor as you might need to switch to a different medication. Is there anything else I can help with?

Hi. I was advised to take Clopilet 75 by one of the doctors when I had a mild chest discomfort. I was later told to stop it after taking it for nearly 4 months as it was causing hyperacidity and TMT was negative. Please let me know if it is good advice to stop taking it. If stopped, what are the chances of having any heart problems? So far I don't have any heart problems. Thanks. ## I'll explain a little, so maybe I can help you understand the associated risks of stopping a medication like this abruptly. Clopilet contains the active ingredient Clopidogrel, which is used to prevent blood clotting. If you take it for several months and stop it abruptly, there is a chance that it could cause a rebound effect, which means that it could cause your blood to clot too much, which may le...

I've been taking ecosprin 150 mg for the past 2 years and currently my doctor prescribed clopilet A75. Are both of these the same or what? Please tell me. ## No, they are not the same. Ecosprin only contains Aspirin, which is used for its blood thinning properties and heart health. But Clopilet A contains Aspirin and Clopidogrel, so it contains an additional ingredient to help prevent clotting. The NIH lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach irritation, and increased risk of bleeding.
