I am 62 and have no history of hypertension, yet there was a sudden spike in my blood pressure reaching 160/100, so my Dr. prescribed several medicines (Amlodipine 5mg, Enlapril, Clopidogrel 75mg, Aspirin 75mg, Atrovastatin). I took them for 4 days and immediately my B.P. showed normal. Then the Dr. told me I will have to take the medications as prescribed for the rest of my life or I will have to face rebound effects. I then went for a 2nd opinion from an expert Dr. He asked me to discontinue all previous medications and take only 1/2 Amlodipine and 1/2 aspirin daily for 6 months. I found one of the previous meds was Plavix (Clopidogrel) and learned that it ...
