I have been diagnosed since age 23, with bipolar disorder, mood disorder, depression, and major anxiety. I'm 54 now. I have a new pysch doctor, due to old doc not taking my insurance. The new doc I seen last month, put me on 0.5mg clonazepam,twice a day, trileptal, trazadone, and paxil. Why would I still be having anxiety issues, and still having frequent panic attacks? It seems miday, and middle of night, I get hit the worst. The trazadone 100mg help me sleep at first, but now can't fall asleep until 4 or 5am,and again only getting 3 or4 hours of sleep again. The trileptal and paxil seems to work ok now, after building up in system, but probably need some re adjustments. Would like your thoughts, comment, or experiences. Have been struggling to taper off Clonidine since mid Feb. Was on 0.2mg transdermal patch for 5 wks; switched to 0.1mg patch for 10 days. Had 5 withdrawal rebound attacks in that time, the first time when I stopped cold turkey, a couple times when the patch would lose its potency from peeling off, and then when I dropped from 0.2mg to 0.1mg. In each case, BP spiked between 160/95 to 180/100 and had anxiety, tremor tachycardia. I can always tell when my BP is elevated by the surge in anxiety and HR. Doc prescribed Verapamil 80mg TID to help manage the rebound which I soon after stopped, as it didn't help with the rebounds; later added Lisinopril 10mg to no avail, but am still on it. I now am trying to manage weaning off using Clonidine 0.025mg caps I had compounded and still reboundi...

The quality and effectiveness of Sandoz clonazepam 0.5 has changed dramatically. Has anyone notice the difference...pick up 3 refills from different drug stores and none are the same... Been taking for 8 years same brand. Still have a few left from previous refill and they work fine. Read about FDA warning letters to Sandoz. So many people must be suffering too. I have been on clonidine now for approx 10 months, for high blood pressure. The doctors had tried several other medications but I had so many reactions and issues we decided that the clonidine patch would work best and it has. Yes there is some fatigue and some up and down numbers but in general I have done well. MY BP was all stress related , no non medical reason. So in the past couple of months have been able to alleviate most of the stress (refinance) and I started 500mg magnesium daily and within a month my BP is getting lower and lower and lower. I was wearing 4mg of clonidine and taking (2) 1mg pills during the day as needed. Now I am down to only 2mg a day and still my BP is staying below 115/64 which is vampire state for me. My father has been taking Clonazepam for years. He takes 4mg a night to sleep and he also takes Amitriptyline along with it. About 6 months ago he lost his bottle of Clonazepam and could not get it refilled for another 2 weeks (controlled substance law would not allow it until 30 days from the last refill). After about 5-6 days of cold turkey, he being having high blood pressure, vertigo, clammy skin, numbness in left arm, etc. We thought he was having a stroke. We went to an Urgent Care Clinic and the MD there said he believed it was the withdrawal from the Clonazepam. That's an entire month's worth of medication. I have been taking clonopin since 1982 for severe panic and anxiety. I take it as needed, but do try to offset panic attacks by taking 1, 1 mg tablet at night. If, and only IF I truly need another during the day, I try 1/2 or .5 mg. If you took 100, 2 mg tabs, it would put you in a coma or worse. My psych gives me the 1mg instead of the 2mg, because less I'd better. It also depends why you're taking it, who prescribed it, are you taking any other benzo or sedating meds and are you trying other methods like meditation and ...

I been on 3 mg of clonazepam, with 10 mg ambian with T3 codeine/naproxen 375 and am around 100lbs. Oh and toss in a paxil or prozac and 600mg seroquel. I was off my rocker, so I worked myself off now with the VA and on 1 mg. I got the new pink ones and being that I've been on the round ones, they seem different. I get my script every 14 days, on restriction, so I got the orange .5 too and between the orange one and the pink 0.5mg they are very different. The pink seems like junk. I tried both on different nights and know when they wear off. I can last maybe 12 hrs on the orange v.s. like 6 on the pink and feel icky. I was taken seoquel 100mg 3 times a day but got me sick an put me to abilify 30mg than my doctor took me off an put me on risperidone 1mg. but seem most likely med's really not working better an I just got these "risperidone 1mg. but i also take Lexapro an Zyprexa5 mg as in today but also need to know is it better of which of all I be taken to help me. hello, i am on 100mcg's of clonidine twice a day (morning and night) for anxiety and have been having a really hard time with the induced drowsiness. i was wondering if anyone else experienced this and how long it takes your body to get used to it to the point that i'm not falling asleep in the middle of the day. thank you ## How long have you been taking it? I was diagnosed with depression and anxiety when I was 16 and started taking Zoloft. within 6 months of treatment I was taking 100mg of Zoloft, and here I am four years later still depending on it each day. Due to the high dosage, it caused me to have very very very bad side affects such as migraines and becoming restless 24/7. They then started me on Amitriptyline to help out balance the side affects and it worked perfectly. I was prescribed .2mg of Clonidine twice a day to prevent withdrawl while tapering off of 100mcg/hr Fentanyl. I was not informed by my doc that I needed to taper off the Clonodine as well. Stopped taking when took last dose in bottle, & have been having horrible withdrawls from the Clonodine. Went to ER, & doc prescribed .1mg twice daily.
