Is clofenac causes death, while a patient infected with Dengue fever have it. ## What have the doctors said was the cause of death? However, any type of NSAID can increase the bleeding associated with Dengue Fever, since they do have blood thinning properties. ## A doctor gave clofenac to a high fever patient before taking the blood test. After 2 days, that patient diagnosised with Dengue Fever and sent to hospital. Next day that patient die. Parent of that patient accuses doctor that clofenac caused death. I'm curious about this issue. Does anybody know about that?

What is the purpose of this drug? ## I have been given this so called clofen 10 and with the problems I've got I should never have been put on them. I suffer with these problems and I get prescribed this crap to make me feel even worse... I have been informed that this medication stops cravings for alcohol and other drugs. it has been around for a while but now the dr's are prescribng not just for drugs and withdrawel but I understand it as some benefits for helping with pain. Is it safe to eat grapefruit while taking Clofen? ## Hi Carmel, Clofen contains the active ingredient Baclofen. I did find that in the safety information, it states the following: "Do not eat grapefruit or drink grapefruit juice while you take Baclofen Tablets." However, there was no other information or details explaining this interaction or how long one should wait before or after their dose if they want to have this fruit. In any case, if you really want to indulge in grapefruit, I would suggest going off of how you feel with a little bit here and there in between doses, then not having any grapefruit altogether for a few weeks to compare the effects of the medication, including how you feel. Did they both start feeling this way after a certain meal? Bad food poisoning can bring with it a fever, stomach pain, vomitting, diarrhea, etc...and last for up to a few days. Just a thought, as this very thing happened to me not too long ago, with the exact same side effects you mentioned. Felt I like was going to die, until it finally passed through my system. The pain did not come down, only increased. I think it was because antibiotic tabs were given to the patient along with ace clofenac and para centamol tablets. ## No, it isn't likely that the antibiotic caused the pain to increase, that's not how they work and generally after taking them for 3 days, she should start to see improvement. However, she may have still experienced some slight worsening of the infection, which could have caused increased pain. Another possibility is that it was due to the fact that both the Aceclofenac and the Paracetamol can cause some blood thinning, which could have increased blood flow to the area, this may have increased the sensitivity and swelling, so the pain increased.
