I have a history of sinus infections, i have this medication left from previous infection its expired on 3/15/2012 is it still usable. can not go to the dr. no insurance. ## Hello, Hazeleyes! How are you? No, it isn't a good idea to use an expired antibiotic. I have read every question and reply on this forum and not one time does it mention how long it takes for this particular antibiotic to leave your system. I took three 150mg doses yesterday. How long will these three doses of Clindamycin remain in my body? ## In most cases, people ask such questions about controlled substances that they are concerned about being detected, so most don't ask about benign substances, such as antibiotics. [3] However, when it comes to Clindamycin Phosphate, one source I found (Yashoda Hospitals - based in the UK) states that the expiration date of topical Clindamycin gel is only 60 days.
