Clindamycin 150 Mg Cap

Why would a dental surgeon recommend a round of this antibiotic during the follow up to wisdom teeth extraction? We got no explanation, but were just told to go on another round of anti-biotics. ## My ear is swollen because I have cleaned it with a bobby pin and gotten it infected. I have a part of a bottle of clindamycin HCL 150mg caps. can these be taken for ear infections? ## Smark, they most likely wanted it to be taken to ensure that an infection doesn't set in, it can be used to prevent infections, as well as treating ones that have already set in. Judy, it is an antibiotic and can be used to treat various types of infections, but the primary concern is that you only have part of a bottle and for an infection to be fully eradicated, you need to take a full course of treatment....

In most cases, food poisoning doesn't require any type of medication and only needs supportive therapy, to ensure that the person affected doesn't get dehydrated. An antibiotic, such as Clindamycin, will only help if it has been caused by some type of infectious bacteria and, since they can actually cause diarrhea, as a side effect, they are usually only prescribed in such case when it is absolutely necessary.

can it be used after discard date ## It does not become dangerous, after the expiration date, but it will lose efficacy, meaning it won't work as well to treat an infection as it did, when it was new. This does create the possibility of developing antibiotic resistance. Therefore, you should see your doctor for a new prescription. Well mines expired in August 2017. Can i still use it to clear up a tooth infection that i had before. I had an infection in one tooth and its gone. Now i have another infection in another tooth which they prescribe me with the same medicine its just 5 months old. The date on the bottle is August 2017. ## I also wanted to say that they are capsules that are light blue and light green and have rx692 written on them. Once again they expired August 28th 2017. My boyfriend was taking this drug and he had nausea and pain in his chest on the right side last night. He stopped taking the medication and is still feeling that pain but not a severe like last night, could this be because of this medication? After that time period, it may not completely clear up and infection and this creates the risk of developing antibiotic resistant bacteria. Was sick with sinus infection and a doc gave me a script for 3 (150) mg clindmycin caps 3 X a day. I am feeling better now and looking at the amount of pills I have left, it seems an extreme amount of pills. ## Even if you are feeling better, you should finish the antibiotic, as prescribed, to make sure that the infection is completely cleared up. Normally, they are given at the 3 a day dosage for between 10 to 14 days, depending on the dosage and just because you may be feeling better, there could still be remnants of the infection lingering in your body. Not finishing the prescribed amount could result in your developing antibiotic resistant bacteria and the infection returning and being more difficult to treat. I was taking this drug for 4 teeth that was extracted. For about a week the dentist put me on 150 mg cap of clindamycin and that next week about mid early morning I took real I'll headaches, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and itching. I went to work and could not work the rest of the hours I was weak and sweating really bad. I had to go to the ER. I stop taking the drug completely. I started with a cough as well. I couldn't eat solid foods I'm slowly trying to tolerate solid foods as of today I have be on a soft good diet jello, pudding, broth and clear Gatorade. When I try to start eating solid foods I have a little diarrhea not much I guess it is almost over my system is trying to get back normal. I lost some weight in the process of this.
