Can I take 2 10mg celexa at the same time?? Would it be the same as taking a 20mg??? ## Yes, it would be equivalent to taking a 20mg, as long as they are both the regular release formulation tablets. My doctor even suggests I do it, if we're upping the dose of something, to use up the pills I've already purchased, before spending money on more. Learn more Celexa details here. There should be no problem, unless your doctor has specifically said not to do so. Is there anything else I can help with?

what is the difference between co-citalopram and apo-citalopram ## Hi Lynda, Based on my research, apo-citalopram is generic Citalopram. Taking citalopram. An old manufacturer under the name of CAMB worked perfect. Pharmacy changed manufactures and the new one 'CIPL' is not working. Anxiety returned. I am told the pharmacy can't get CAMB anymore. Any thoughts? ## Hello, Leslie! How are you? Has there been any change? Which manufacturer your pharmacy carries, at any given time, can depend on who was offering the cheapest price at the time they needed to restock their supply. There can be minor fluctuations between generic medications, but they are so slight that most people adjust in a week, or so, once their body gets used to the one from the new manufacturer, according to the FDA. However, if you prefer the one manufactured by Camber Pharmaceuticals, a different pharmacy may carry it, you may want to ask aro...

I started citalopram a year ago and it takes time but it does work. I take 40 mg a day, and life has gotten better. OK, I do admit, you will be a little forgetful and slow, but that is what it does. If you are high anxiety, like me, it will slow you down. It calms you down and if you embrace it just right you CAN make the drug work in your own way and fitting in your own lifestyle. But remember, IT DOES TAKE TIME. You'll see. ## Medications in this class generally take a month or more to reach their full effectiveness, for most people. AS to being forgetful and slow, this DOES NOT happen to everyone, medications can affect everyone in different ways. So, while some may experience this as a side effect, not everyone does. Thank you, however, for providing your experience and informat...

I have decided to stop using citalopram because i'm afraid of side effects. I started with 5 drops at evening , 6 drops the second day and 7 at the third time that was yesterday..I would like to know how degrading the dosage in order to avoid bad effects. Thanks, ALF. ## Usually for drugs like this the safest way to stop taking them is to tapper off them, if possible. Some medications can be taken in fractions (actually cut into pieces) and these smaller pieces can be taken in place of the regular dose for a period of several weeks until the body is no longer dependent upon them. Is your medication in liquid form? If so, I think you are doing well in simply counting how many drops you use, even it takes a little longer to taper off of in this manner. I am not a doctor though, so the...
