Pink oval antidepressant ## I recently received a refill from my mail order pharmacy for Citalopram HBR tablets, 20 mg. The first prescription I had were pink oval tablets, but this next one was round white tablets, the size of a 325mg bayer aspirin. Embossed on the tablet, from what I can make out is, WP1 3177. Is the same type of drug or could it be the wrong prescription?? ## This is the same medication and same dosage, just made by a different company that your last fill. Could citalopram Hbr 20 mg tab cause itching of the skin on arms, head and face? Warning on bottle mentions "avoid prolonged sunlight". ## Hi Vickie, If it says to avoid prolonged sunlight, the medication probably causes some sort of Photosensitivity. Photosensitivity is a skin reaction (i.e. rash) that occurs after exposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun or an artificial light source. This could explain the very symptoms you're describing. I do also want to note that itching, rashes, swelling, hives or blisters, are all listed as severe side effects of Citalopram; in which case it would probably be best to let your doctor know about this as soon as possible. Stopping an antidepressant is usually done very slowly, because on top of some withdrawal effects, stopping abruptly might also cause some rebound effects, which could result in very severe depressive symptoms. You'd do that for a week or so, to allow your body to adjust to not taking it as often, then you'd start skipping two days and so on. i just stared takinh these 3 days ago, i have noticed they make me tired, shaky, dry mouth,clumsy. somewhat disorented, forgetful, i was told there for anxiety, i was on effexor, and prozac but she pelaced those wth the citalopram hbr 20 mg. are these symptoms normal and will they go away in time???? thank you. ## Citalopram is an antidepressant, that is also used to treat several other disorders, including anxiety. can this medication affect your vision. I feel like I need stronger eye glasses prescription now its harder for me to read. I've been taking citalopram hbr 20 for almost 3 weeks now. Is a Citalopram HBR 40 mg white oblong/oval tablet with '0 7' on one side and an 'A' on the other the same as a smaller pink oblong/oval 40mg tablet with '0 6' on one side and an 'A' on the other side? Please respond ASAP! Thank you... ## The tablet with the A 06 marking contains 20mgs of Citalopram, the tablet with the A 07 marking is listed as containing 40mgs of Citalpram, both of which are manufactured by Aurbindo Pharma. i would like to see a picture of this pill ## I don't have a picture to post for you, due to copyright reasons, however, this tablet should be round and a pinkish color, with RDY above 343 on the front and just a deep score on the back.
