I have been on 20mg of citalopram for 3months for axiety helped a bit but av got terible jaw clensing an still feel anxious will this get better xx ## No, it isn't likely to change if it's been 3 months, it usually only takes 4 to 6 weeks for it to reach its full effectiveness in the body and for the side effects to taper off. Learn more Citalopram details here. You may need a higher dosage, or with the jaw clenching, it may not be the right medication for you and you may need to try something else. Have you had any dental pain from it?

There is no expiry date on the prescription bottle. How long is the shelf life for this medication? ## Hello, Aline! How are you? Going by the U.S. FDA and product testing, once it has been dispensed in a pharmacy bottle, the expiration date is one year from that date it was dispensed. That is the longest that the manufacturer can guarantee that it retains full efficacy. Learn more Citalopram details here. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Is celexa prescribed in 2014 okay to take for a few days?I'm not near my pharmacy. Thank you

I was on 40mg of Citalopram and slowly over a few months I cut down to 10mg. On Christmas eve I cut it out totally, the main effect of this was sleeping terribly which I know is normal and why I waited until I had time off work. Now I'm back at work I feel very anxious and had diarreah yesterday quite a bit in work. Now I'm worries my ibs-D is making a comeback, or is it just settling back to work anxiety. Not sure if taking propranolol as and when would help with this. Does anyone have any advice? Need to wait around 4 weeks for an appt at my docs surgery so thought be worth trying forums 1st.

Could citalopram Hbr 20 mg tab cause itching of the skin on arms, head and face? Warning on bottle mentions "avoid prolonged sunlight". ## Hi Vickie, If it says to avoid prolonged sunlight, the medication probably causes some sort of Photosensitivity. Photosensitivity is a skin reaction (i.e. rash) that occurs after exposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun or an artificial light source. This could explain the very symptoms you're describing. I do also want to note that itching, rashes, swelling, hives or blisters, are all listed as severe side effects of Citalopram; in which case it would probably be best to let your doctor know about this as soon as possible. Ref: nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/druginfo/meds/a699001.html#side-effects I hope this information helps! ## Wh...

How are you doing? I'm very sorry about the problems that you're having. These are two different types of medications and I didn't find any interactions or problems listed between taking them both, but as Cheeks advised, you should always double check such information to be sure. This is a generic medication and it is normal for your pharmacy to switch which one they have in stock, depending on which manufacturer was offering the cheapest price at the time they need to restock their supply. Can I take 2 10mg celexa at the same time?? Would it be the same as taking a 20mg??? ## Yes, it would be equivalent to taking a 20mg, as long as they are both the regular release formulation tablets. My doctor even suggests I do it, if we're upping the dose of something, to use up the pills I've already purchased, before spending money on more. Learn more Celexa details here. There should be no problem, unless your doctor has specifically said not to do so. Is there anything else I can help with?

I just talked to my pharmacist yesterday about some issues I have with the generic. She said nothing about it. the brand name is still available also. ## I have done a lot of research and came with the same answer as yourselrf.
