Hi, can i use prednisone after i used ic ciprofloxacin hcl 500 mg for 10 days? ## My findings state that there are potentially unsafe interactions between these two drugs. So as long as you're not taking the two drugs together, then in my opinion you should be fine. Quoted below are the precautions you should be aware of: "Using ciprofloxacin together with prednisone can increase the risk of tendinitis and tendon rupture. This may be more likely to occur in older adults over 60 years of age or those who have received a kidney, heart, and/or lung transplant. my dr prescribed this med for a infection. The Dr. or the pharmacy neglected to tell me that you are not supposed to take antacids with this med. When I got Home I read the paperwork and the warning was also on the bottle. I have to take antacids 2x a day for my GURD. I stopped taking the antacids. What would happen if I had take my regular doses of antacids. ## If you take it with regular antacids, such as the calcium based ones like Tums, it can cause less of the medication to be absorbed, so it isn't as effective. With Ciprofloxacin, you should make sure to take these types of antacids 6 hours away from the antibiotic. This doesn't apply, however, if you are taking some other type, such as the proton pump inhibitors that are sold as generics, as well as under name brands like...

Can you use it after it's expiration date? ## Hello, Cin! How are you? So I went to the doctor because I had flu like symptoms and a very sore throat with minor headaches. Can this pill be cut in half in order to make it easier to swallow? ## That really depends on whether or not this pill is a solid tablet or a capsule filled with liquid or powder. Generally, you can't really cut a capsule in half; but rather empty its contents into a glass of water and down it quickly. I wouldn't attempt this however if your medication is an extended release formula; (but based on your description I don't think it is). As such, if it is a tablet, I would just recommend cutting it in half as you planned on doing and taking it that way, as long as you take the two halves one after the other. I hope this helps! ## My husband can not swallow medication and it is crushed and soaked in water and then put through his stomach tube. Some medications will not separate...

I Need to Take 500mg of Ciprofloxacin HCL Twice a for Six Weeks. I also take aspirin, Toprol, Amalodipne, 2 grams of fish oil and Jarro-Dophilus (acidophilus) daily. A friend told me acidophilus may interfere with Ciprofloxacin? Is this true? Do any of the other drugs I take interfere with Ciprofloxacin? Thanks, ## I can't find anything on the Ciprofloxacin with the Acidophilus, since it is a supplement, it's most likely that they haven't actually been studied together. What your friend is probably thinking of is taking it with milk, not the supplementary bacteria, since milk can affect the absorption of some antibiotics. You can learn more Ciprofloxacin details here. And the actual problem medication in your list, which I'm surprised hasn't been mentioned to you bef...
