Any complications to people with high blood pressure ## Yes, if yours is high, you should be very careful. Most antihistamines, such as the Phenylephrine in this can raise your blood pressure and heart rate. The elevation is usually minor for most people, but if you have hypertension, then for you it could raise it to dangerous levels. Just as an example, I'm a hypertension patient that had heart failure and when I was in the OR having surgery, the anesthetic caused my heart rate to start dropping dangerously low, but to bring it back up they only had to use a small dose of the Phenylephrine. It kept my life out of danger, but it also made sure I know why my doctor doesn't recommend using it. Learn more Phenylephrine details here. Learn more Chlorpheniramine details here. What h...

I used to buy these at Sam's Club, in a 2 pack of bottles with 150 caplets in each. I need to know if there is anywhere else I can get them packaged that way, or it least 1 bottle. In lieu of that, where can I buy them in the largest quantity? Per my Doctor's approval, I have to take them 3 times a day, all the time, and packs of 12, or even 24 tablets get really expensive, not to mention aggravating to open for my "senior arthritic fingers". ## Hello, Lillian! How are you? The only way you'll be able to purchase a quantity sufficient to take that many a day, now, is if your doctor writes a prescription for them. Such medications are purchase restricted to prevent their abuse. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, irritability, insomnia and nervousness. Is ther...

How long after the expiration date can I take Chlorpheniramine Melate 4mg? I have a bottle that expired 11/2013. Thank you. ## Hello, Rochelle! How are you? Medications tend to lose efficacy over time, so it is most likely best to just dispose of it and purchase a new supply. This is available over the counter and rather inexpensive. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, drowsiness and dry mouth. ## I did purchase a new bottle. This is for my 14 - 15lb dog - do you know what the correct dosage would be for her? Previously I had a toy poodle 7 - 8 lbs & the vet prescribed 1/4 tab twice daily for allergies. Thank you for your help! ## What if its 2 yrs old? ## It depends on how you've been storing it. You may find this interesting. The military ordered some tests in an attem...

long oval, blue, numbers 44-473 on them, it says it has 325 mg of acetaminophen in them.2 pills per dose ## found celophane wrapper with pills inside..want to identify ## Tylenol cold multi symptom night time. ## In the interest of adding specifics, this is a generic for the Tylenol product that Terri mentioned. Along with the 325mgs of Acetaminophen already mentioned, it also contains 2mgs of Chlorpheniramine, 10mgs of Dextromethorphan and 5mgs of Phenylephrine, per tablet. My sister is getting married on Saturday. I took a spoonful of Hydrocodone / Chlorpheniramine ER and was wondering if I could drink beer at her wedding on Saturday? I take 5 milliliters every 12 hours. ## It is the Hydrocodone that is the main concern here, since it is known to react with alcohol far more than the Chlorpheniramine, according to FDA reports. It could cause you to experience more severe side effects than usual, such as dizziness, drowsiness, nausea, sedation, and headache. Unfortunately, you did not list the time frame in between drinking and taking the medication. Can you post back and be more specific? Thank you! ## How long does 10 ml of chlorpheniramine maleate stay in your system? ## Depends if you're a fast or slow metabolizer. On average it's about 5 days. ...

I have used products with the combo of Chlorpheniramine Maleate 4 mg, Pseudoephedrine hcl 60 mg, on a spot basis for years. Now I can't find, under any of the brand names, in any of the stores, I have used in the past. They were under control, requiring gov't ID at the Pharmacy counter. Was this not enough? Have they all been banned? Triaminic Cold & Allergy also had same ingredients. ## Their disappearance from pharmacy shelves is due to the restrictions causing severely lowered sales. This caused many companies to switch to using Phenylephrine. Have you tried talking to your doctor about it? I believe they can still prescribe Pseudoephedrine, which may make it easier for you to find. Ref: Medline Plus Pseudoephedrine Pseudoephedrine may cause side effects, such as nausea, ...
