Thanks. ## have seen chlorpheniramine maleate, 4mgs advertised online as a pet med as well as human. My question is: is this drug safe for and primarily used for humans in the first place? Most antihistamines, such as the Phenylephrine in this can raise your blood pressure and heart rate. The elevation is usually minor for most people, but if you have hypertension, then for you it could raise it to dangerous levels. Just as an example, I'm a hypertension patient that had heart failure and when I was in the OR having surgery, the anesthetic caused my heart rate to start dropping dangerously low, but to bring it back up they only had to use a small dose of the Phenylephrine. I used to buy these at Sam's Club, in a 2 pack of bottles with 150 caplets in each. I need to know if there is anywhere else I can get them packaged that way, or it least 1 bottle. I have used products with the combo of Chlorpheniramine Maleate 4 mg, Pseudoephedrine hcl 60 mg, on a spot basis for years. Now I can't find, under any of the brand names, in any of the stores, I have used in the past. They were under control, requiring gov't ID at the Pharmacy counter. Was this not enough? Have they all been banned? Triaminic Cold & Allergy also had same ingredients. ## Their disappearance from pharmacy shelves is due to the restrictions causing severely lowered sales.
